Skyrim SE CTD when entering Whiterun and Solitude

Recommended Posts

every time I get a CTD when I try to enter Whiterun or Solitude,  Strangely enough I could spawn with Alternate Start at Breezehome but got a CTD when I tried to leave Breezehome and enter Whiterun. But one week ago it was still working, I've already tried to disable all the mods I had installed this week, but without success,
request help!

Below are load order and papyrus logs.

with skyrim se, the first two things that jump out at me are either a mesh improperly ported from oldrim, or a plugin still left in form 43. they will both easily crash that game more than anything else, and I have noticed mod authors port them over with the forms still in 43 (NOT good) it's worth checking your plugins via xedit with this:

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrimspecialedition/mods/6847

I'm assuming you're using mod organizer? sort your modlist by installation date and comb it for meshes that touch cities like whiterun and solitude. you might have to go back a little further than a week.

I don't think it's a memory problem, because you can reproduce it every time, so it's something specific in those cities, and that really makes me think it's a bad mesh. check your recent mods with this but be careful to read the mod page for instructions on how it works:

im using vortex, and I'm not that good at solving modding issues. ?

the only new ones are Rapetattoos, FadeTattoos and Hentaipregency

I see that you have both RDO - CRF + USSEP Patch.esp and RDO - USSEP Patch.esp installed at the same time. You are supposed to only use one of them. You don't seem to have Cutting Room Floor installed, so you should get rid of or disable  RDO - CRF + USSEP Patch.esp. Maybe this will help with some of your crashes.

You seem to have some leftover stuff in your papyrus and saves from uninstalled mods. You are probably best off starting a new game and using only basic mods at start like USSEP and Alternate Start etc. Add a little more over time and don't overdo it.

Read up on mods before you try to port them to SSE on your own.

After that, read the forum index page and look for the SE tech support section. This is LE.

that looks like a lot of old version plugins. to change form 43 plugins to form 44, you'll have to open the plugin in the SSE creation kit and save it. simple as that. I don't know if it will fix the certain crash you're getting, but that will definitely make your game more stable.

many mod conflicts can be found and resolved in xedit by applying a filter on all your plugins and making a custom 'override patch' placed at the end of your load order. If you are interested, here are two, very highly underrated and under-viewed videos that explain conflict resolution and how to make a patch that can potentially fix ALL conflicts in your load order:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TJkOT6MY83w

I no longer use automated tools like wrye bash to make a patch; I do it on my own and the game becomes VERY stable because of it. hope this helps

could these cause the CTDs in Whiterun?

I checked hentai pregnancy esm and it makes no changes to cells or worldspaces, and contains only single records (though I have the oldrim version). the CK is more than likely giving those errors due to the fact that the plugin is still in form 43; it needs to be resaved in the CK and then it will be form 44.

/facepalm

Armor 'SexLabCalypsStrapon' (0201A22A) used invalid Biped Object slot 51 for race 'DefaultRace'.

armor 0201A22A available for defaultrace have sbp51, and defaultrace don't have sbp 51 (there's no defaultrace in game, doesn't matter)

Automatic door 'AutoLoadDoor01' (00015E1D) [324 units] in cell 'YngolBarrowExterior' has its teleport marker too close to the linked door.

if you have a follower, he may appear behind the door because of you

that's about it

Cell contains more than one water current marker:

there are 2 record water something

game only load the first one

the fastest way to find what mod is the ctd in whiterun, instead of messing randomly with mod, you coc whiterun with half the load order, then half that, then half that, until it no longer ctd

then you add mods back until it ctd again

and it's in that mod there is a ctd to fix

that's a headache and a half. save yourself some pain and check the plugins in xedit, if there's a problem it's going to be found in there.

really?

know a little about tesedit errors

https://www.loverslab.com/topic/62242-skyrim-enderal-compatibilty/page/2/

still had 3 ctd in enderal after fixing it after getting stuck with the mayor quest (no idea how they renumbered some dialog id translating that to english)

and looking at tesedit would have been useless for them (same for the errors.txt, that's where i found the duplicated record, you can't go to the second one in tesedit)

one thanks to racemenu dll (decapited head ctd)

one thanks to ram leftover (got stuck between rocks, earlier save, quest x still at stage y in ram, but not in earlier save, game try to do stuff with npc that aren't there, ctd)

and one entering the kid town (after the guard open the door, he still have some blabla to say, if you didn't stay near, ctd because you aren't there for the dialog)

topic is a few day old, did your form 44 thing did anything?

removing mod until ctd disappear, then adding them to find the one that add the ctd, anyone can do that

then either he get rid of that mod (anyone can do that), either he fix the ctd (that... not anyone can do)

no, not everyone can fix their CTD. but I just explained above, the best way possible of doing so, regarding this specific topic, which has nothing to do with the decapitated head crash, dialogue crashes, or ram usage.

I can speak confidently about this because I already know the process works for a great deal of problems in that game, as my skyrim has been completely crash free for quite a long time now.

most of all, I would rather find and fix the problem than ditch the bad mod and gut my load order, and that's exactly what my advice to this person advocates.

I believe I solved the problem, it was caused by Hentai Pregrency, more specifically from the "Belly Node Scaling on / off" I have set it to "off", and did not do that ctd anymore in both mentioned cities, but now i have CTD in Windhelm...o_O
