Church the Cat Posted March 23, 2019 Posted March 23, 2019 Hello, I need help diagnosing a CTD from someone who has software to read and understands ".dmp" files. I used to use an online analyzer that has since gone offline. I'll share a few of the crashdumps here. Thanks. P.S. I also shared my current load order. 2019-03-23_16.28.30.dmp 2019-03-23_07.42.23.dmp 2019-03-23_16.18.34.dmp LoadOrder_Skyrim_2019-03-23T12-58-37.txt

I not know WHAT info you get from OSR Online but probably is totally unusseful. I not read yours dmp's but probably say C0000005 in TesV.exe and that mean a memory problem. If you have CTD in Skyrim the first thing that you must make is install the Stability Tools: Skse Memory Patch Crash Fixes 12 Enb in Boost mode If you have the Stabilty Tools and your CTD persist, simply explain when and how you get the CTD. But, please, not send us more dmp or papyrus logs because are totally usseless for locate the cause ot the CTD.
Church the Cat Posted March 23, 2019 Author Posted March 23, 2019 I use all three of the stability tools you've mentioned, but the CTD is persisting. I'm usually able to diagnose the CTDs myself by viewing what causes the "exception" through past experiences using OSR Online. Other than that, the CTD seems to happen when the game is loading NPCs, but I'm not sure.

Because i can download yours dmp's files and process it with WinDbg or load it in Visual Studio and give you the required info. But if your CTD is caused when load any NPC's only can be because ONE of that npc's have an incorrect skeleton or a bad mesh in one of the armors, weapons, hair... and the way for locate it, normally, is disable mods until locate the problem.
Grey Cloud Posted March 23, 2019 Posted March 23, 2019 If you have those three tools but you still suffer from regular CTDs then you need to double-check that they are configured correctly. 14 minutes ago, Mancubus said: I'm usually able to diagnose the CTDs myself by viewing what causes the "exception" through past experiences using OSR Online. How do you manage that when all it gives is a memory address and the name of the exe? 16 minutes ago, Mancubus said: the CTD seems to happen when the game is loading NPCs, What does that mean? Post your load order here.
Church the Cat Posted March 23, 2019 Author Posted March 23, 2019 It might also be something skeleton related, it did start happening after I installed, then removed "Animated Beast Cocks". https://www.loverslab.com/files/file/7556-animated-beasts-cocksabc-for-users-hdt-patch/ I have since reinstalled it, but the CTD persists. I'm lost with this CTD. Also, my load order is already uploaded, I shared it along with my three .dmp files.

Grey Cloud Posted March 23, 2019 Posted March 23, 2019 Thank you. I repeat: If you have those three tools but you still suffer from regular CTDs then you need to double-check that they are configured correctly. How long has this been happening and what changed? When exactly is it crashing? Randomly or at a specific places? You need to run LOOT on that load order too.
Church the Cat Posted March 23, 2019 Author Posted March 23, 2019 I already use LOOT. I don't believe it's a memory issue since "Crash Fixes" by "meh321" showed me an error message when those used to occur. I'm still thinking it might be a skeleton issue, since "Crash Fixes" seems to have an error message for most other crashes but this one. The only recent change I can remember is adding "Animated Beast Cocks", then I noticed an odd bug with the werewolves' SOS penis bugging out with a deformed look. I figured it had something to do with "ABC", so I deleted "ABC" and reinstalled "SOS". I've since reinstalled "ABC" after unticking the werewolf SOS checkbox. The crash itself usually happens randomly, as far as I can tell. By memory, it has happened when exiting "The Sleeping Giant" inn in Riverwood. After reloading, I was able to leave the inn, but then it crashed while running south out of Riverwood. After that, I uninstalled "Immersive Amazing Follower Tweaks" and started a new character, who started in "The Sleeping Giant Inn" and was able to clear "Bleak Falls Barrow" without issue. The two most recent happened with a new playthrough character earlier today after reinstalling "IAFT" while standing in Riften near the smithing forge. I might try another new character without "IAFT" installed again, but I'm not sure if it was just random luck that kept me from crashing before when "IAFT" was uninstalled since I'd already been using it for years, without issue. I currently have over 9,000 hours of playtime and experience dealing with CTDs and bugs, but this one has me stumped. Thanks for your assistance.
Grey Cloud Posted March 23, 2019 Posted March 23, 2019 I've been playing Skyrim for over three years. I rarely get a CTD. Crash Fixes does not give error messages for every memory problem - far from it. Why do you think it is a skeleton issue? Post your FNIS output. Your load order needs LOOT running on it. It has animation packs loading before the animation loader.

Grey Cloud Posted March 23, 2019 Posted March 23, 2019 There doesn't appear to be anything wrong there - correct skeleton, no errors and only a small number of animations. How confident are you that you have your enblocal.ini configured correctly for your OS, VRAM and RAM?
Church the Cat Posted March 23, 2019 Author Posted March 23, 2019 I'm not. I'm just using a preset I found on either Loverslab or the Nexus, I think. I'm using Windows 10 with an Zotac Gaming RTX-2080 (8GB-VRAM) with 64GB of DDR4 RAM. If you've got or know of a preset for those specs, I'd be happy to try it.

I don't believe it's a memory issue since "Crash Fixes" by "meh321" showed me an error message when those used to occur. If you have the Stability Tools we can discard any memory problems. The only option can be with a super overcharged list of mods that spawn multiples creatures from multiples mods. For example, my game can spawn in the same cell the base game creatures + creatures from Inmesive Creatures + bandits from Obis + Chiss from Grand Admiral Thawn. Joining all that generation can cause a memory problem in my game. But you not have my list of mods and i doubt you can have a memory problem. Can you make a screen shot of the window with the error from Crash Fixes??? Because probably say "Bad mesh detected" and that is exactly that i said 3 hours ago. 3 hours ago, GenioMaestro said: But if your CTD is caused when load any NPC's only can be because ONE of that npc's have an incorrect skeleton or a bad mesh in one of the armors, weapons, hair... and the way for locate it, normally, is disable mods until locate the problem. If you have the CTD in exterior cells and you have installed some mods for creatures is evident you have a problem in one of that mods. Of course the CTD can happend ramdomly because the game not always spawn exactly the same creatures in the same spots. Deppend of time of day and can deppend of others parameters. Revise the requeriment of the mods, the load order, verify that you have XPMSE in the last position of the mod list giving it maximun priority, except if any of the mods say in a clear and concrete way that the mod must overwrite XPMSE.

You said you were using ENBoost. If you are using ENBoost and it is configured correctly you should see something similar to this: If you are using an ENB preset, you should see something like this:
Church the Cat Posted March 23, 2019 Author Posted March 23, 2019 I'm not seeing either one of those, I used to. What could cause that?
Grey Cloud Posted March 23, 2019 Posted March 23, 2019 7 minutes ago, Mancubus said: I'm not seeing either one of those, I used to. What could cause that? It means that ENBoost or the ENB is not configured properly and not running. With your VRAM and RAM you could use an ENB but for know just use ENBoost until we get rid of the CTDs. Follow this. Any problems or questions, ask. https://wiki.step-project.com/ENBoost
Church the Cat Posted March 23, 2019 Author Posted March 23, 2019 The first step wants me to install DX9 Runtimes. Is that right? That's very old. I'm using DX12, I believe.

Church the Cat Posted March 23, 2019 Author Posted March 23, 2019 It's not going to mess with all my newer games, is it?
Church the Cat Posted March 23, 2019 Author Posted March 23, 2019 After all that, it still crashed after about twenty seconds after loading into the game. I appreciate you trying to help, but I'm starting to lose hope.

Like I said, I my machine says it has DX11 but I have DX9 installed as well. The software will look for whichever version of DX it needs and use that. I play TW Rome 2 which uses DX11. Missed your last post. There is something seriously wrong here. If you have Crash Fixes, SKSE Plug-in Preloader and ENBoost then you should not be crashing. Do you get the red text message about ENBoost on your load screen?
Church the Cat Posted March 23, 2019 Author Posted March 23, 2019 Yes, I see both the white then red messages on the screen.
