guide Skyrim SE for Beginners - V 3.2.6 (Outdated)

I dont get how to use correctly the Bodyslider with the physics, could someone give me a link to a video or something that teach me how to do it when nude, other when with outfit with physics and without physics? if is that possible, bc im pretty lost even reading the link given by Aylis (im not english native so i cant follow nicely the instructions sorry  )

Just started SE modding and figured your list would be a great way to start (very nicely done by the way). Only thing is I've encountered one problem I've never seen in my four years of LE modding.

 

When running FNIS, I get the following error:

The only info I've found about it says that you should turn off your Antivirus and run ModOrganizer2 as administrator, both of which I did, and neither of them helped.

 

Anyone have any tips? Thanks in advance.

Did you use the check box for hkx file compatibility check?

Try youtube. They should have something in your language for that...

I don't know what went wrong there. You can try to use my file and delete the stuff in it that you don't need (aka just keep the missing ones).

What do you think. Is it sort of hidden too much? Is it helpful? Or should i move it into a separate thread? Or it is not needed at all?

I think it's good work,  a separate thread for it wouldn't hurt that way if you find more lvled areas like that you can add it their.  I do have a ?  When you make the bodyslides  how do you do it with the smp hairs?

I used the 'nude' preset for that. Its not perfect for all armors but it should work for most of them.

Hmm didn't work either. I've disabled all mods except FNIS and tried again getting the same Error 2012. I've also tried reinstalling FNIS and XPMSE but it doesn't seem like those are the problem, since FNIS seems to be finding everything just fine. Somehow it seems like FNIS still doesn't have the rights to generate the files for some reason, but I can't imagine why.

sounds like a bad install of FNIS or some of the havkoc files didnt get run properly for SE.   is their any mods you got that are not on list?  if so list them i might be able to check and see about converting them if i can.

Well... the one mod that I have that isn't on the list is "Sovngarde - Mist's Font Replacer Bold."

 

That'd be hilarious if that was the problem.

I think it might somehow be a corrupt install of Windows Defender somehow... maybe some 3rd party AV software has overwritten it and now it no longer works properly, cause I just realised I can't turn Windows Defender back on anymore...

 

Looks like I have a long road ahead of me, haha.

@Aylis  when you bacth build do you hold ctrl and make it a mod or build as is?

 

@thetunaguy only thing i can think on tyring is got though whole list and make sure their all up to date and for SSE.

Ok, i will like some help about that if possible, in the bodyslide, in "Outfit/Body" which one should i select if i want physics: CBBE 3BBB Body Amazing, CBBE Body Physics or CBBE Body Special?

In "Preset", im choosing WBody - Nude. When done with the sliders, should i do a Batch Build with Build Morphs on selecting everything? Should i just press Build then go with another preset like WBody - Clothed?

 

Im sorry, im pretty new with the modding, watched some videos but none of them give me a clear idea on what should i do...

Since it could be one of 3 issues and they are all AV or windows related. I'll ask this. It should have been the first question asked.

1.Where is MO2 and steam installed? 

If your answer is in C:\Program files or C:\Program files (x86) it's a windows UAC problem. Modding the game requires exe commands to be run that microsoft doesn't like. Even if MO2 runs on a virtual system and not the actual system (windows is a bitch like that). 

here is a web page on how to shut off UAC (i wouldn't leave it off unless your pretty savvy about what you install on your computer)

2. What AV are you using? Look up on that products page (unless you use just windows defender) and learn how to whitelist certain .exe programs. (i use bitdefender and while whitelisting is easy letting it put an exe into quarantine and then telling it to allow is just easier to me)

amazing is the other 2 combined. it has the full physics plus a working vagina and rectum. 

 

If you are messing with the sliders once the preset is up, you need to save those edits. either click save to overwrite the preset. or save as to make a new preset that you can then assign to every group and build your outfits

The whole purpose of saving the preset is if you add more outfits then you have YOUR body made. Choose it from the dropdown menu and build

Why is your FNIS only 1.66mb when mine is almost 30mb? i didn't add animations..

Quick 2 questions for anyone who can help

 

1. Using 3bbb/smp - some npc's when sitting down, have there boobs stretched by there heads, then go normal when they stand up again or undress - anyone know how to solve?

 

2. I still get the horrible glisten/sheen on some female skin - shown here https://ibb.co/RzJWknN

Any idea how to fix?

happen to have animated parasites installed? It's a bone issue, use xpmse as a filter to find the bad mod. (move xpmse down on the left and right until everything acts right.) I suggest moving xmpse down 10 at a time until it's fixed then going back up until you get the problem again. Or if you have animated parasites thats probably your issue. i had the same issue and removed it because of it.

2. wet function redux. You have 3 options (4 really but you said it looked horrible so.. 3.) open the mcm on wet function and adjust the bars. reinstall the skin without any type of wet effect. disable wet function.

MO2 isn't installed in Program Files, its on a totally separate drive.

 

As for Antivirus, I only use Windows Defender (or so I thought) but I recently found out (and am pretty sure this is the reason its happening) that some other Antivirus software has somehow made its way into my Registry files. More details on this in the spoiler:

I'm pretty sure its because I'm running this on a laptop that came with a bunch of bloatware and I didn't think much about uninstalling AV software, so I uninstalled it through Windows and not by using the AV Uninstaller program (whatever AV it might be).

 

I've already found some McAfee crud hiding in the Registry files and have since removed it, but something else must still be hiding in there somehow, though I have no idea what it could be. I only found this out because apparently my Windows Defender isn't even turned on, and I don't have the access to turn it on (something about IT administrator limiting access).

 

I've tried reinstalling windows while keeping my files with no luck, so I think my only option might be to back up everything to an external HDD and then wipe the system. It is what it is.

 

Yeah, I made sure to give both administrative rights.

 

I'll try your FNIS files once I can and just cross my fingers, but at this point I find it pretty unlikely.

 

Also @Dirknina I actually started with FNIS XXL and then downsized to the regular FNIS thinking that might've caused it, but both had the same issue.

I feel your pain on clearing a drive.

As for my reason for using FINS XXL is for the extra checks and animations it ca do.  Just my to cents.

 

When I get home I got to fix my char nude body some how I lost all boob jiggle when I made armors last night.  Physic armor and clothes work fine just alittle much on jiggle with smp weighted hair

I just want to say. Thank you soooo much for this guide. I started with zero knowledge of modding Skyrim, merge? replace? What's that?? With now being able to at least have a hunch how bodyslide and fnis works. Have been a journey for me and lots of fun just modding, even when I haven't even started the game ?.

It took me weeeeks to get all the mods installed and probably many things not working 100% but who cares, game is working haha. Never would have gotten here without your help so this new Adventurer thanks you dearly.
