Thumbnail issues on Pornhub?

Ok I really couldn't think of any other place to ask about this (and I'm not subscribed to any other 'adult' forums out there). So, Pornhub... I have issues with thumbnails on that site. But the curious part is that all the other sites that are part of the Pornhub 'Network' (PornMD, Thumbzilla, etc) work fine (I.E. no thumbnail issues on those).

 

The issue is the following:

 

Essentially, only half a page's worth of thumbnails show up. The other half doesn't, but I can see their name and where they should be on the page.

 

So examples:

 

1) On the main page of the site, I do see the thumbnails under "Hot Porn Videos In [country name]", there's about 10 or 11 of them.

2) Under that, still on the main page, again the thumbnails do show up for "Most Viewed Videos In [country name]", there's about 5 thumbnails showing up there.

 

However...

 

Under that, nothing shows up anymore (basically starting at around half way down in the page).

 

Now, if I browse the site by Categories specifically, it leads to a new page with (normally) a bunch of thumbnails, and small numbered 'tabs' (acting as pages) at the bottom (from 1 to... 10, to 20, to 30 and so on into the hundreds sometimes). Well, so on those pages (Category pages) the same thing happens. I can see around half the page's worth of thumbnails, and all others don't show up at all.

 

I'm using Firefox (latest version), and the latest version of abobe flash player. As I mentioned, I do not have this issue with thumbnails on any other web sites. Yes, I am using ads blocker (ublock Origin), however, I have tried disabling it specifically for Pornhub but it didn't help at all, still the same problem. When it comes to abode flash player it seems to work everywhere else. Be it on adult or non-adult sites, whenever a thumbnail or a video (automatic or manually-started) it shows up or it plays just fine.

 

I'd like to get some ideas and recommendations for troubleshooting this issue and find a solution.

well....you can start by asking Pornhub, because LoversLab has nothing to do with them or there web scripts.

Might be a firefox issue as everything shows up fine for chrome. For some sites I have ghostery addblocker plus and stands when I turn them off I have to refresh the page to get everything to activate. Did you refresh the page after turning them off?

There's no actual "forum" for Pornhub that I am aware of, and I'm not a member of the site (I know it's free but I haven't registered). The only thing I could find there was a "Community Feedback" section, with a sort of knowledge base with a search bar for keywords. I typed Thumbnail in that search bar and got very few results. Some of them were users reporting the same problem as I have pretty much (some posts dating back to 2016, some were in 2018) but none of them were given actual solutions.

 

And trying something like "Thumbnail not showing on Pornhub" on Google never gives me the sort of exact problem I have (either people have zero thumbnails and are told to try a different browser, or their thumbnail show up but they flicker, or the thumbnail names aren't showing... it's always something different). So ultimately I could only think of coming here just in case. I know this site here has nothing to do with Pornhub MadMansGun. But this site is used by people all around the world with computers like you and me whom might happen to also go on Pornhub and are also using Firefox; so there's potential for help for troubleshooting.

When you say "after turning them off?", you mean if I try to refresh the page(s) after turning off my ads blocker? If that's what you are asking then yes I have tried that multiple times. And not just refreshing the page but of course simply reinstalling adobe flash player, and restarting my computer. I also even tried to reset my connection's DNS cache.

 

What baffles me is that some thumbnails do show up (about half the page), but the rest don't. But I do see all the thumbnail's names. It's like... as if there was a limit of thumbnails allowed on Pornhub, but nowhere else (because as I said in my first post, all other porn sites I tried; most being part of the Pornhub Network, do work without problems and everything shows up just fine; heck even the PornMD's "infinite scroll" features works and it loads up thumbnails non-stop as far as I can scroll down until I'm just tired to do it.

 

On a side note, I've had this issue for a good year at this point. I just never really took the time to investigate or to ask around (not like there's many places to ask around for this to start with).

Yes refreshing the page disabling/turning them off is what I meant as some turn them off without refreshing the page which doesn't allow anything to take affect.

 

Have you tried a different browser? They don't have a forum but they do have contact support tab at the bottom of the page.

Ok so I've just tried with Microsoft Edge and all the thumbnails show up.

 

So it's definitely a Firefox-related thing. Maybe in the regular settings, or in the "about : config" values that I have to change. I wouldn't know what it could be but I'll check with Google for now. If I can't find anything I'll try with the Pornhub support basically.

 

EDIT: Alright so I tried every 'solutions' I found on Google. Some were just making sure that some normal settings were activated, and others were indeed requiring some adjustments in the browser's Config / Parameters. But none of those solutions worked. I sent a message to Pornhub's contact support. We'll see what happens, oh well.

Using Window 10 huh...yeah I had the same issue on YouTube yesterday. I was using SRWare Iron browser (basically Chrome) so I don't think it is limited to Firefox.

 

I blame WIndows 10. ^,^ Win 10 pretty much got everything wrong when they shat it out, but it was already installed to my new comp, so that's what I'm using.

 

As for a solution, I would have said same thing as Myuhinny: simply refresh, but of course that is not at all a sure fix. The YouTube thing fixed when I refreshed, but I fully expect it to happen again, cuz Win 10.

Try turning off hardware acceleration in your browser.

This is likely a video/driver issue.

 

(HA is the first thing I turn off in any browser. If I don't disable it on LL all the headers become blocky and garbled as if they are like broken JPGS. Then when I disable HA everything looks fine.)

However, the issue simply persists.

 

I've also tried turning the Hardware Acceleration off. Although, with HA off I did notice some sites actually seem to load faster and it also happened to fix a small visual glitch I had here on LoversLab at the very top horizontal bar, where the account name tab (next to "Create") is located. It used to be filled with artifacts on that specific one bar at the top (nowhere else but there) that resembled small white cubes moving occasionally as I hovered my mouse on the bar. So that little visual bug is fixed. But I still miss about half the thumbnails on Pornhub.

 

I've also sent a mail to the Pornhub "Support". It's been a couple of days since then at this point (open business days, too) and I never received a reply. Well, only one automated reply indicating that they received my mail, but that's it.

 

I'm baffled, since as I said that issue is - literally - only happening on Pornhub. No other sites I've tried have this problem whatsoever on my Firefox. Meaning that, ultimately, I do think that it is related to either Pornhub and its own 'compatibility' with Firefox, maybe the other way around, or just Firefox alone. Then again I'm not expert but I can only see this problem on Pornhub. I've actually been on each one of the Pornhub Network's sites (Thumbzilla, PornMD, etc) and absolutely none of them have this problem where half of the thumbnails aren't showing. They all work. Except the big one, Pornhub itself.

 

I'll live with it, this is really nothing urgent to try to fix but it is sort of annoying since it "forces" me to just look elsewhere since I'm missing half (actually a bit over half) of the search results basically. Since those results are part of the thumbnails not showing I can't get a preview of what it is and I won't just click every single one of them to take a look. And I've been on a monthly download limit with my ISP since a few months so I have to be a bit picky with what I want to check in full length (hence thumbnail previews being that important).

 

Anyway, this is just a mystery I guess. I might just use Microsoft Edge in the meantime for Pornhub since it works alright with it.

I am visiting Pornhub from android phone and having the same issue.
