You also need the ability to understand what you read, not only in modding that's sometimes a serious problem. I have to admit that counts even for myself, sometimes when i'm a bit tired and read something before i go to bed and respond, the next day i read both again and i'm just "What the heck did i do there?".  @krattar Usually when something tells you it doesn't work, ignoring this warning won't make it work. The authors put those warnings there for a reason (also i admit, that's quite special in software development). Especially warnings in FNIS are those that can never be ignored because something WILL be broken if it shows a warning. Warnings from MO are a bit less strict, some can be ignored just fine, others can't*. Some only need a bit adjustment, some need you to do some research. And here's a hint: modders in general don't see their destiny to fullfill your wishes with as little effort as possible for you. If you ask if it's really too much to change practices that work since more than 20 years because you can't figure it out, than don't be surprised if people don't sound like "oh hell yeah, why have i never thought about kattar? I was doing it wrong all the time!". And another hint: the mods you're talking about work for everybody that posted here, except you. Now take a guess if that's because you made a mistake, or if that's because mod authors hate you and made sure they don't work exclusivly if you try them. Making mistakes is not a bad thing, everybody does that. There is no shame in asking "what did i do wrong?" either. But if you go "That's all bullshit, stuff doesn't work and it's not my fault at all because i don't make mistakes!!111" then... well. You know, nobody here gets paid to help you. We could just enjoy the mods you're trying to figure out instead. If you want my help, accepting that your problem is most likely caused by you and not the mod is mandatory, otherwise i'll just start playing instead.  For your current problem... i know for certain that you've missed a point watching the video because i learned from that very video what you did wrong: Don't start the Skyrim launcher from MO, start SKSE instead.  *Most common warnings from MO are - when installing a mod, it might say "no data on top level" or something like that. Here it depends. Essentially in most cases MO expects a mod to be in a "data" folder. But some mods don't have this folder on top (a common reason is that they have other stuff in the download, like screenshots to see what you get, that are not part of the actual mod. Try to find a data folder within the structure, set it as "data folder", then MO should say "looks good" and continue. In some few cases it's not supposed to have a data folder, at this time i'll skip the explanation because that's some advanced stuff.  - after installing and enabling a mod, the triangle in the upper right corner might show a warning. The most common two warnings are that a master file is missing and that there are files in the overwrite folder. The first one is always bad and needs to be fixed, the warning will tell you which mod misses which requirement. Files in the overwrite folder aren't necessarily bad, it depends which files there are and some other stuff. Let's put it this way: It should be empty before you run FNIS and Skyrim.  *edit: i have the most important guides in my sig.

Grey Cloud Posted February 12, 2019 Posted February 12, 2019 XPSME - Includes the realistic version plugin settings so you don't need to install this mod. You will only need this mod if you want a different force setting or the animal and creature ragdolls So what part of that do I need to learn to read.  1 hour ago, yatol said: it's xpsme you don't need if you install realistic ragdoll And which gets updated the more - RRD or XPMSE?  1 hour ago, yatol said: the skeleton allow the neck to turn 180°, the shoulders to touch the knees.... Well let the joy be unrestrained.
chaosarah Posted February 13, 2019 Posted February 13, 2019 Getting mods to work is halve the fun imo, also this is the support forum
