How long did you wait for him? Some of the POP animations take an inordinate amount of time to start.

Quite some time, I used this mod in the past once and never had issues with it. I ran FNIS and tested it in a new game as well.

They need available Papyrus computing time... not easy if the city is too crowded. If in doubt

MCM-> Debug

There are quite a few options you could try out ... but it is likely your system is loaded too much to cope with the setup of the scene.

For comparison: I have to wait about 20-30 sec. between the steps in the scene in Riften in daylight at the market. I have appx 3x the amount of vanilla NPCs around me.

I tried it in Whiterun, no other locations. Also, MCM Debug options does reset the scene but leave my character immovable. In general, you're saying that this has happened to you before?

Oh yeah. It is unpleasant but it happens (POP is worth this occasional glitch though). As I've said, for me and most of the time, simply waiting will take care of the problem. I learned fairly early on with a heavily modded game that oftentimes things take a little while as all the mods try to do all the things that I am asking them to do and all within the confines of the crummy Bugthesda engine.

@Psalam Do you suggest I try this mod with the new version of POP?

I've always used ReSaver which is part of Fallrim tools found here:

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/76776

It does a great job of cleaning "ugly" saves and has other functions as well. I do prefer to play my modded game in such a way as to avoid needing save cleaners though, in all fairness.

I'm playing around with the newest versions of Inte's Modmadness.

All MCMs show up,

same with the older POP versions,

so there might be a load order, mod conflict, missing requirement or bad install involved here.

On the other hand, I had issues with the POP MCM in the past, if I didn't deinstall it right before reinstall or if I tried to run it without DDe

I think you should

1. Uninstall POP

2. Load your save

3. Save/overwrite and exit game

4. Use one of the save cleaners we suggest to fix orphan scripts

5. Load cleaned save

6. Save/overwrite and exit game again

7. Install POP

There may be few unnecessary steps but thats what I always do.

Can I do this with a new game as well?

Buddy, you're a great guy but if you eliminate all the steps up there that don't include a saved game you've got:

1) Uninstall POP

7) Install POP

Every other step he's given you requires a saved game. All save cleaners do is clean saves. They do nothing for problems with mods (unfortunately).

Just wanted to be sure, considering every time I want to overwrite my save game it crashes. I understood all the steps just asking if I can avoid another complicated situation.

Makes sense. You shouldn't have that problem with overwriting saved games (at least I haven't). If I did I would likely go into Skyrim (through Windows) and delete all the saved games in that manner and then start over with "new" saves.
