TheMadCatter Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 Hey everybody. I've had this problem plaguing my installation for like a year now and I'm finally stepping out to get help fixing it. So as the title suggests, a set of farm clothes are invisible, specifically the ID 000209A6. They are invisible on both males and females all the time. I haven't seen the model of the clothes in game since like 2017. I don't remember when it started and I don't know which mod it is. Things I've tried: validating steam files, deleting the farm clothes 02 mesh, disabling/reinstalling immersive armors, reinstalling unofficial Skyrim patch, running LOOT, rebuilding the meshes of all apparel meshes from my replacer mods in bodyslide, running FNIS and reinstalling XPMSE (not likely to be related but hey I did it anyways) Any insight to the problem would be appreciated. What does this outfit look like in there?
RW311 Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 I am only guessing, but looking at the armor addon referenced by 000209a6 I find that it hides visible slot for amulet, possibly the fur collar tight (6d023061) has higher priority for visible slot setting? Otherwise you would have to load all mods in tes5edit and check for file path of each equipped clothing item on the npc, check that the nif file exists in the right folder and that none of the meshes in the nif file have conflicting slots with any other equipped item as this will prevent them from being equipped. When npc cannot equip the default outfit they will equip the default sleep outfit but if it is not defined they equip the naked body. Typically if a body outfit (slot 32) is mising the mesh you have floating head and hands so I don't think you have a missing outfit mesh here.
Grey Cloud Posted January 18, 2019 Posted January 18, 2019 I had a similar problem with one of the nobles outfits a couple of months back. Turned out to be a follower mod which had hijacked the id for its own outfit. Remved the follower mod and all was well. I think I discovered the culprit by using TESVEdit and looking at one of the NPC who was wearing the nobles outfit and seeing what else had affected the NPC.

What does this outfit look like in there? That was my first thought as well, but the bug effects males and females, and Bodyslide is only building female outfits for me. Also the outfit appears the way it should in the Bodyslide preview.

I removed the fur collar from the NPC's inventory, unequipped all, then equipped the clothes again to no avail. The fur collar is from Immersive Armors and I have tried uninstalling that mod and that did nothing either.
RW311 Posted January 19, 2019 Posted January 19, 2019 Equipped but invisible is most often going to be the nif slot assignment does not match the data assignment, can also happen if armor slot vs armor addon slot of the armor does not match. Use tes5edit, open with all mods selected and see if something has changed anything in that armor or armor addon, if not check the mesh output from bodyslide and verify the slot assigned to the outfit matches the armor setting.

Each race has to have its keyword present or it won't show and be invisible. If you can see it in your inventory but it's invisible when you equip it this just may be the problem. Check this with tes5edit and add the keywords if necessary.

Yes, TES5Edit turned up BreakUndiesPlus.esm as something that was modified the data. Turns out I was using an old buggy version. Thanks everyone.
