My opinion of Rule34 (long post)

I agree. I remember when I was into My Little Pony. Yeah it happened. Anyway back then when I saw some fanart on Deviantart of ponies in bondage, my mind went blank for a second. How could two wonderful things look so wrong. Was my line of thinking. What kind of twisted monster ties up horses...

( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)

I'm going to go tie up horses.

Fantasy horses, you mean?  A fantastical spin on a fantastical idea.  That's how I see that stuff.

Yes that is exactly what I mean.

I pretend it is a fantasy horse.

Maybe you're watching too much anime.

It's a healthy thing to stay away from it sometimes, especially if you like it too much. It's is good to like a character, but when you start thinking they are real people, shit gets messy.

I get where this comes from, I actually do. Personally, I dont like this rule34 either, and it is in some way, a form of "rape". Many people have rape fantasies, and that's something nor you nor anybody can do anything about.

But the only reason why it can't be actual rape, is because these characters are not real. Simple as that.

If a fictional character exists, some deviant somewhere is bound to want to "rape" them, ant that's completely out of your control area, so it's always better to move on and avoid the places you can find it.

If you care about your creations, the only way to protect them is never releasing them to the internet in the first place. But once they're out there, it's gone.

They are not real people, mark that concept well in your head, because if you don't, it's a permanent one way ticket to insanityville.

It's okay to care about them, and it's fine to dislike porn made on them against their original character's nature, but they do not have "wills", they are not real people and they are not really "raped". In fact, they lack the capacity to even care if they're being sexualized or not. Remember that, cause I've seen plenty of people who get too immersed in their anime fantasies and simply loose it it. All divisions between fantasy and reality just fade. And that is one of the most dangerous things that can happen to a human mind.

Personally, whenever I encounter some shit I dont like about a character I like, I also notice a very important deal. It's not even canon.

Fanart is usually shitty and poor quality and doesnt even resemble the original artist's design. So why would you care and get so triggered by something that A) Is a shitty attempt at copying a character, and B) It's not real and never will be?

Leave deviants to their deviancy, you can't control what goes on on every person on the planet's head. Thankfully we're not capable to design actually effective methods of installing thought police systems yet...

Honestly, only thing bad about Rule34 is the toxic community that comments sometimes on it, although less prevalent I've know in recent years.

Rule34 is completely selective, just like video games and modding. Respect to your opinion. However, I am a person that stands on the other side of the fence. There are indeed aspects about Rule34 that I don't care much for, not because it bothers me, just not my cup of tea. However, I get curious to see as to how people change the way something looks. Takes something completely innocent and throw it to the other end of the spectrum. I've been there and done it with my own personal art. It's not because it's perverse or perverted, it's because it's the way it is. However, everyone has their own personal preference and hates to see things they are passionate about get twisted. However, you have to stop for a second, there are some cartoons out there and anime's out there that were intended to be just that perverse and it didn't fly at the time it were created. One could say the same about Fallout 4, wasn't designed to have a lewdification project done to it, but it has. Same with Skyrim. All the art that is on Rule34, is interesting in my opinion. Why? Because it tells you something about a person you don't know, maybe something you have in common and something you don't.

However, personal preference in completely selective.

Ren and Stimpy's Adult Party Cartoon is a pretty good example of this as is Senran Kagura which recently had a bit of a last hurrah before the director left Marvelous in the form of a second anime season which just went full on softcore sex comedy.

Very true. It's quite hilarious how many cartoons were intended to be for adults. At the same time, kids do not understand some of the undertone innuendo's that were left in the show. Like I said, Rule34 is one of those things that is completely selective and you can choose what you want to see what you don't.
