Jerbsinator Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 I'm more or less making this thread because I want to request one thing that bothers me...but everyone else is welcome to share what they think would improve the forum and make it more fun / functional for everyone else. Anywho, here is my issue. When you try to navigate through threads that have 200+ replies it is insanely slow only being able to move two pages at a time. You want an example? Go surf through Skyrim's "What Mod is This?" thread, at over 600 pages, it is insane having to move through it two pages at a time. I think we need to have a option where you can type which page you want to go to. That's my beef, what's yours?
gregathit Posted November 22, 2012 Posted November 22, 2012 I don't disagree. However, as a stop gap when you click on the 2nd page (or any thereafter) of that that thread it will display a page number in your browser's address bar which you can manually change to be whatever page you like. It is no where near as handy as what you are asking for but it does work until something like that could be implemented (if it ever is).

Kashiwaba Tomoe Posted November 25, 2012 Posted November 25, 2012 Other board softwares offer that ability, so it shouldn't be impossible to find a compatable .php module to add it. EDIT: I am not at 1337 posts.
Emily Posted November 26, 2012 Posted November 26, 2012 We need forum activity. Art contest or modding contest with irl money rewards. XoXo
Nonsense667 Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 Just a thought, and not sure if it would be so easy to accomplish, with so many threads already there, but I'm wondering if I'm not the only one who would LOVE for the downloads section for oblivion/fallout/skyrim to have a separate armor section, so I could avoid it entirely, and not have to skim over the five billion armor threads to find mods that actually interest me.
Ashal Posted December 9, 2012 Posted December 9, 2012 My biggest issue with these forum is the child porn ad that's been up for the last month or so... I realize this site needs to make money' date=' and that there's a large crowd for that kind of stuff here (feels like 90% of the skyrim mods cater to that audience), but the fact that I can get into real legal trouble just visiting this site makes me a bit uncomfortable to do so... [/quote'] What child porn ad? If there is a child porn ad point me to it so I can report it to the ad publishing service and have it removed. Such ads would be against their terms of service. As for forum improvements: Personally I'd like to migrate over to vBulletin for the forum software and dump MyBB, a license for vB costs 250 dollars sadly, and the ads currently barely cover bandwidth costs. I would also like to change hosts away from cloudflare/linode and instead use Amazon EC2, that would also sadly double the current server costs x.x As for breaking up the downloads into categories, I can look into it, it would take a lot of time sorting existing threads though, so largely depends on how willing some people are to help sort them out.
Ark of Truth Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 I think the new site needs a gallery section. For example each user gets a gallery which they can display their pictures. Something like this one here which Halofarm uses but for LL
Endiness Posted July 15, 2013 Posted July 15, 2013 Since any thread that becomes archived also becomes non-searchable, I think it discourages people to search before posting.

And emily got a gay porn ad... it seems the loverslab ad knows and track users favorite keywords into the advertisement banner. So whoever having child porn banner are very likely, exposed themselves to it.
Ark of Truth Posted July 19, 2013 Posted July 19, 2013 Since any thread that becomes archived also becomes non-searchable, I think it discourages people to search before posting. You can get a fix for that here.
