Kuroshu Posted October 23, 2011 Posted October 23, 2011 I'm FROM the Phillipines Right now I live in the US, state? California, where everyone is a rockstar, into skateboarding and going to the beach
touge Posted October 25, 2011 Posted October 25, 2011 I'm from the UK, specifically Essex - mainly long-boarding and getting stabbed.
Long Truc Phuc Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 I am from Germany... And I am very disappointed that noone of the modders of oblivion created a SUPERIOR GERMAN RACE! ;-D you guys can be glad' date=' that you're not from germany, cause it's sometimes hard to see the positive sides of it since we're drilled to feel guilty for ww2. If you have a chance, check out Berlin, Cologne, Hamburg or Munich. Especially Berlin if you want to party! :-) [/quote'] Even though you were probably kidding, that comment explains why the Allies have brainwashed the German people to feel guilty of WW2. I think it was Ahmoud Ahmadinejad(or whatever it's written his name) that said "while many nations in the world raise monuments to remember their heroes and make their people proud, in Germany they raise monuments to remember their people of the Holocaust and make them feel embarrassed." (He didn't say it exactly that way, but it was something among these lines.) I'd also like to add that, according to one of my not-so-trustworthy sources, however, Stalin planned to invade the whole of Europe, so... I know many will disagree with this, but if there was no National Socialist Germany then Central and Western Europe(probably) would have suffered the same that Eastern Europe did under Communist rule -- there would just be no one to detain USSR in continental Europe(France and Italy are arguably weaker militarily, and a demilitarized Germany would be the perfect invitation for an invasion towards the west). So, yeah... weigh the pros and cons of Germany(literature and advances in several sciences for example) on the balance of contributions to humanity, and see that one can feel proud of such country; with or without WW2 and the horrors of this epoch, the balance would still indicate "obese," not "thin."
qwarten Posted October 27, 2011 Posted October 27, 2011 So' date=' yeah... weigh the pros and cons of Germany(literature and advances in several sciences for example) on the balance of contributions to humanity, and see that one can feel proud of such country; with or without WW2 and the horrors of this epoch, the balance would still indicate "obese," not "thin." [/quote'] In my opinion this is simply unnecessary. Crimes of my father are not my crimes. Achievements of my father are not my achievements. Achievements or crimes of my fellow men are not mine if I didn't have a hand in it or turned a blind eye when I could do something to prevent it. Since most people are not that old, I see no reason for having shame or pride for things happened more than half a century ago.
slash197 Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 New Orleans, Louisiana here. I'd rather be back in Heidelberg, Germany, to be honest. There were so many parks and castles, there. Here I get to fight to park in front of my house during Mardi Gras.
Irishredneck Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Kansas. Central Kansas. Wide open. No traffic problems, smog, assholes. We like our neighbors, and treat people with respect.
Presto Posted October 29, 2011 Posted October 29, 2011 Jersey, currently not enjoying the snow in October. All the trees still have leaves on them so the wet heavy snow is ripping down all the branches. It's chaos. Would be nice if I had Skyrim though, the snowed in thing would be more fun.

Ur so true. I often hear "NAZI GTFO", and thats rly annoying. Dumb kids. Back to the topic, i'm from germany aswell. I live in Köln, it's noting rly special.
Irishredneck Posted October 30, 2011 Posted October 30, 2011 I spent nearly 10 years living in Germany. Funding courtesy of the US Army. And loved every part of the country. I didn't cater to the local chaos around the military bases, instead I traveled away from, and enjoyed the local traditions and flavor of the wonderful people. I learned to speak Deutsch with such a proficiency that I had to prove my American heritage on several occasions! Not one time did I ever encounter the "N" word or feel an air of tension discussing WW2. Screw the haters, they are ignorant Neanderthals. Deutschland ist schoen!
afro-herbalist Posted November 8, 2011 Posted November 8, 2011 Im from the sunny paradise of East-Midz, UK, where sometimes it gets so hot, that you just wanna take your shirt off, if only you had a six-pack. Juno' date=' that wouldn't be the island known as Lesbos, would it[/quote'] As tempting as it is, I cant bring myself to have a childish giggle at the island of....Lesbo's, sounds like one hell of a place though! I went to Skiathos once, that was real paradise, but not many lesbo's.

Kashked Posted January 15, 2012 Posted January 15, 2012 I'm from a small town of no real note in western Sweden, called Vänersborg (Literarly, "The castle of Lake Vänern", originally settled as a military position). Historicly the town has burned to the ground three times, once it was the Norweigans, once the Danish, and one time we just fucked up ourselves. Since then there isn't much of note to say, it's your typical Swedish smalltown (and that doesn't include any old nazi dynasties living on private islands if that movie "The girl with the Dragon tattoo" gave you any ideas... ). Being Scandinavia the weather is what you could expect, although we have only had 3 days of solid snow so far this winter. I guess the weathergods are having a bad concience for the last two winters which had us with snow up to our ears for 3 solid months...
