Ok I deleted the DWE folder and then unpacked .9 without overwriting anything and I've not had that weird blank popup yet, after playing for about an hour.

Tried the same thing. Deleted directory and then unzipped everything. Ran a new game, and it popped up at a month into game.

DWLilith is an event chain from the Dark World Fantasy mod, not this one. DWTRandom.715 is a new event from this one, but it runs fine on my end.

That error tends to crop up when there's a broken code reference in an event above, though I can't see any issues with that and it worked for me...

...but that said, 714 and 715 are currently unused events (as in they shouldn't fire in the game at all as they weren't finished/functioning as intended) so here's a version without that you can try and see if that works any better for you:

I cant get this mod to work anymore, everytime I try to use it with the game events pop that are blank and because they are blank I cant continue playing the game which really sucks, but I really enjoyed this when I played it last before this newer update. Please help!

I need to be able to replicate your issue if I'm going to be able to do anything about it. It works fine on my setup, so I need information - things like what event is coming up as blanked, and if it's even from my mod. You can do this by typing in the word "charinfo" in the console (which you bring up by hitting ` ). Then move the mouse over the event window, and it should display the ID of the event and which file it's from.

Also, things like what other mods you're using, bits about any DLCs you aren't using (as I generally run or have all of them), and so forth.

Uploaded 0.9.1:

-Various bugfixes, including cleaning up of code in events that were not game breaking but causing unintended behavior

I went over a number of events and cleaned up some stuff - nothing that was game breaking but that would cause some odd behavior potentially. No idea if that will help with anyone's issues on blank events, though, as it runs fine on my end.

Well Im using all the dlcs from the base game including the latest holy fury, all the musics, unit packs, portraits and so forth.

Mods that im using are A Sensible New Family, Dark World Reborn v1.68, Dark World Extras v0.9, HRE Shields For All Empires, Improved Genetics, Infinite Game, Ruler Designer-Unlocked, Rich Childhood, Soulmates, Three Doctrine Reform.

The events that show up is Event ID DWTRandom.715, D W.Lilith.5005, D W.Lilith.5004, D W.Lilith.5003, D W.Lilith 5002, D W.Lilith.5001 D W.Lilith.5000 are the ones that keep popping up and maybe more will pop up too if I could continue it that is

Try the version 0.9.1 that I uploaded, and clear out all your old DW extras files before you install the new ones. Hopefully that will help.

Hey, me again lol. Is it possible to set the non-consensual traits to be hidden until discovered? Kind of like the seduction event where you discover two people having an affair? It seems really odd to me that I can find rapists in the realm as soon as an event pops up by just searching the character finder. The patch notes indicates that an event for the player already exists to find the perpetrator, so I'm wondering if that can be tailored for this circumstance?

The rapist trait should already be set to hidden, for the exact reasons you state - only the character themselves should be able to see it.

That is, it uses the hidden_from_others = yes tag that the secret religion traits use.

Can you confirm that you can't see it on their sheet but that it still comes up in the finder?

Oh weird. Maybe I'm thinking of the sex crazed trait? That may have been it, this happened a few versions ago.

You may be thinking of the rapist trait - I made those events only to realize the same thing myself, that having the trait be visible meant that it would be trivial to figure out whether or not you had the right person, so I changed it to be hidden a few versions later.

The current version of 0.9.1 should have it as hidden at least.

Honestly I have no idea what's wrong on your end, because it works fine for me. The only thing I can guess is that you're missing some DLC that I use and that's somehow causing CK2 to crash on you.

Ok, I've checked the most recent version xD, and you certainly do get the trait, but it looks like the spouse opinion is hidden, instead of the whole modifier, is that working as intended? Reading the events, it certainly makes sense to get the trait after you literally pick a courtier out after a siege, but getting it after you do it to a prisoner seems odd?

I think the "hidden from the world at large" isn't part of a particular modifier but just one aspect of the trait.

Probably what I need to do is split it into two traits, "known rapist" and "secret rapist" with the latter being used in that event series, and remove any opinion modifiers from it (while leaving them on "known rapist".

@Baeryllium Actually, rather than make a new trait that breaks games, I'm changing the event chain so as not to assign the trait - instead, the perpetrator will be marked only by the character flag. When you find a culprit and accuse them, they'll get marked with the trait.

I'll still be changing the localisation of the rapist trait to reflect that it symbolizes being a Known Rapist, as in the rest of the world believes a character is one, even though in this case you might wind up with someone falsely accused of such (which will be secretly marked with character flags).

Part of the advantage of this is that by not adding any new traits, the update shouldn't break ongoing/saved games.

I'll post that fix along with a bunch of other minor bugfixes here shortly.

Version 0.9.2

-Tweaked the Rapist at Court event chain to no longer assign the trait immediately - instead the trait is only assigned on accusation.

-Modified the description for the Rapist trait to reflect that it means the character is publicly known as a Rapist.

-Made a number of minor bug fixes for things that didn't seem to cause issues, but might have, like event type mismatches

A hotfix file is also available that will update 0.9 and 0.9.1 to the latest fixes.

This update should be savegame friendly.
