No headgear on NPC

hi! i have a tiny little problem: most of the NPC added by mods appear to not have items designated for their heads. Or they are invisible, i'm not sure. For example: All of the hydra slavegirls don't have gags (I can speak with them as usual), deviously bound adventurers in the taverns created by DCL use gag talk, but don't have gags on their heads. Most fun and ridiculous - Travelling Alchemist from TravellersOfSkyrim decided to travel skyrim completely naked: as far as i can tell that's cause their robe comes with a hood, and hood is for the head.

Contrarily guard have their helmets on, If i equip (or get equipped) into any devious device it will appear on me.

Can somebody suggest a solution, since i completely in the dark here.

Invisible gear is most commonly due to a failure to use Bodyslide. Batch build all the Devious Device assets and they should appear.

Are you perhaps suffering from an unintended consequence of the choices you made for mods?

Here is the description from Toggle Helmet"

Spoiler

Hide and Show Helmet, Hats and Hoods in a Single Click

MCM Menu Toggle and or Hotkey Toggles any Helmet using the Circlet Slot

No More Comparability Patches!

Works with all and any Mod or DLC.

How it works:
Using the MCM Toggle option or Toggle Hot key, will cause the equipped helmet to have it's head, hair and ear slots removed, leaving the circlet and any other slots in place. The helmet is then "refreshed" through equipping then removing a blank object. When Toggled a second time or unequipped/removed from inventory, the helmet will revert to it's original slots.

Because of how Skyrim works, this change will effect all helmets in the game that are the same type (for example all iron helmets), but as the helmet must be refreshed to see any changes, you will only see this change if a character wearing the same helmet as you equips an item or is loaded with the same helmet on. (This includes changing weapons or scripts from other mods that equip items such as Dual Sheath Redux.)

A good idea, but no: tried to disable this mod, but it didn't help. Also i didn't change Toggle Helmet settings once yet. Thanks, though!

Then how about this? Try taking DDa (Devious Devices-assets) up to the "new" 3.0 version.

I actually don't know why Wrye Bash, from which i copied mod list, said that it's 2.8.3 version, while i installed 3.0e version. All mods in my list are up to date.

You've got a lot of mods with which I am unfamiliar. Some of these sound like they may be your problem like Follower Outfits" (1e).  I couldn't find them on Nexus however. I suggest you do what I have been doing and go through these mods one at a time and see what may be the issue. Remember, it may not be a single mod that is doing it but the way two or more mods interact that is causing the issue.

I want to guess around too! =D

53 CalienteVanillaArmorTweaks.esp

> remodeled replacer and standalone => test if it helps to move standalone above replacer

> you have two mods that replace vanilla armor, Remodeled Armor and CalienteVanillaArmor, the last one in load order would win, if one hides helmets, both wont show any

> you have two mods that replace vanilla armor and you have a bash patch => because both replacers do the same, bash patch will try to slove the conflict and there is a chance that not the last replacer in your load order will win the conflict => you might get mixed effects like vanilla armors get replaced partly by replacer 01 and replacer 02.

test if the helmet issue still happens if you dont run bash patch => the issue here is, both replacer do exactly the same (replace vanilla) and bash patch doesnt know what mod should win (they just replace and dont add anything to a lvl loot list)

better combine one vanilla replacer and one mod that adds custom mods to lvl list, thats where bash patch can help you with

> alternative to not creating bash patch: move all replacer below bash patch in the order you want them overwrite each other

...

- bash patch.esp

- Remodeled Armor - Dawnguard.esp

- Remodeled Armor - Dragonborn.esp

- Remodeled Armor - Vanilla Replacer - Dawnguard.esp

- Remodeled Armor - Vanilla Replacer.esp

- Remodeled Armor - Vanilla Replacer - Dragonborn.esp

- Remodeled Armor.esp

- CalienteVanillaArmorTweaks.esp

keep in mind that only the last replacer in load order wins

pro: you still can create bash patch for the rest of your load order (to merge patch esp, prevent lvl list conflicts)

> other alternative: use only one vanilla replacer

> another alternative: if wrye bash shows what will be bashed => untick replacers from being bashed

you were expecting them to figure out the problem from a load order

even if that one is easy, there are mods to hide helms

https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/22765

and you have one of them in your load order, called helm something
