Old female textures lost

So, did some modding, started up a new game, and have a problem with Skyrim (who doesn't, though?). Bunch of the female body textures are showing up blue/purple/white. Head, feet, and hands are fine. And many of the women are fine. Seems to be only the older women who are missing the textures.

I tried deactivating all the mods I recently installed, still the blue bodies.

I tried reinstalling my body and texture mods, front to back, and that didn't fix it. But here's what I've got, in order:

CBBE

COSIO for CBBE

ALL-in-one CBBE animated pussy

Mature Skin 2 CBBE

Mature Skin 2 COSIO patch

Ideas? Suggestions are either RAM problems (which I was dealing with some) or missing texture. Bets on which one? How to find out or address one or both?

Sounds to me like you nailed it. How much RAM you have would determine how I would bet. However, I would start by not just uninstalling but deleting the possible mod culprits. I would then reload and see if my problem was solved.

I downloaded most of the mods anyways to double check things, so I'll give that a shot later today

I went ahead and reinstalled all body related mods front to back. Went with lower-res textures on the body texture mod. Also removed some mods to try and boost RAM performance and did a few other performance related fixes. Still no dice. Old ladies are blue.

In that case how about a load order?

Blue bodies probably means that there are textures missing, or that a mod is changing the file path to the textures (which seems unlikely imo).

EDIT. Try overwriting the body mesh you installed by generating a new one with Bodyslide and see if the issue persists.

People who learn about modding Skyrim before they dive in?

That would get my vote.

Post a load order.

I attempted giving the old ladies an entirely new set of skin textures using Seniors Wear Vanilla, just as a test. Changed nothing. Might not be relevant, but might point to a file path problem, rather than straight-up missing textures.

Anyways, attached the load order. And yes, I am aware that with that many varied mods I shouldn't be surprised by issues. Usually I can muddle out the conflict or problem but this one's got me stumped.

I took a junk character and ran around, trying to see any kind of pattern to the blue textures besides "old". I found it isn't just old. In fact, it has no pattern at all: all places, ages, races, types etc. are affected. And it probably hits between 30-50% of the females in game.

Ha! Found it. Just took me longer than usual. Had an old texture mod (BSVanbeaus Muscle) that I had deleted. Somehow the plugin stayed in the list, sans textures, and was only applying to some. Not sure why it only cropped up and being a problem now since I removed that mod months ago, but here we are.

Thanks for taking the time to look into it!

You're welcome. Pass it on.
