wow - I had some spare parts laying around so I just slapped together a rig and installed Ubuntu and it's really nice! I like how it has LibreOffice already installed and Firefox. I dunno how to do anything on it yet but I can definitely see myself gravitating to this platform for non-gaming stuffs. I saw some vids on "gamin on Linux" recently too so who knows. 

 

Not sure all the stuff I need to do after install (e.g. Antivirus install? etc...) so I'm gonna watch this video:

i prefer Linux Mint myself, as for a antivirus comodo is the best i could find.

Yep, Linux Mint here too. I got a separate ssd for it and dual boot with Win7

Testing how Steam with Proton fares against it's native counterpart atm, and having a backup OS in case shit hits the fan.

I really like the look and feel of it. I also like the no registry aspect.
