[mod] [CK2] Luxuria Fantasia - Updated: 23AUG20

Recommended Posts

I noticed that when reforming a faith (in my case, norse paganism) your character receives a crown that also appears on your portrait.

Unfortunately, this also seems to override any custom portrait you have (werewolves, kitsune, etc).

I guess passing the title would solve it for now, but I kinda wanna be Fylkir too.

Portrait modding is the bane of my existence. I have spent the past three hours trying to figure out how to fix that without modifying the vanilla 00_portrait_properties.txt file (for compatibility purposes). Until someone with more portrait experience can come forward with a solution, the new 3.0 artifacts will just have to continue breaking the portraits.

So on my fourth hour, I finally got to this point through trial and error:

Yes, it's pretty fucking stupid. No, I don't care at this point. I'll continue to try and find a full solution, but right now my brain is mush.

On the bright side, the crown looks really good on certain portraits.

Looks like a reasonable compromise to me at least. It's a pretty unusual case, so it certainly wouldn't bother me. :D

Installation done by replacing 1.68 files with these ones (overwrite).

Hope overwrite is the right way as it does not say that under the installation instructions...

There might be something wrong in either the event or localization files.  Selling slaves seems to be bugged.  To be fair, I only tested on two playthroughs, but in both instances no matter what gender or what kind of slave I was selling (after they were branded) using the right click context menu, the button to approve the sale seemed to be messed up.  There was no problem with the flavor text in the event window, just with the details that pop up when you hover over the sale button.  I can't figure out a way to screenshot the damn thing.  It doesn't show you how much you'll be making, or who the sale would be to, etc.  It just shows the variables/code for what I assume are the calculations.  You seem to get gold if you hit the button though, I'm just never certain if it was the right amount.

I don't think it's anything you did.  I just brought it up because you seem to be fixing the stuff from the original mod.

Edit: Oh, I should mention that I'm not using really any other mods than Dark World Mods (DWR, Tweaks, Extras, House Irae).  I also use my own mod that modifies traits, but that's it.

Edit 2: Also, are vampires supposed to be able to feed on other vampires?  I can feed on Vampirella, and she keeps offering to turn me into a vampire over and over again. lol

@jamal13 and @lockeslylcrit CK2+ is just inherently incompatible with Dark Worlds. Unlike HIP, its not modular so the whole thing basically rejiggles the base code mechanics to the point of unstability when you throw anything else on it.

On an unrelated note, any plans of adding Bloodlines to the special NPCs we have in the game? I haven't torn through the code yet, but I think you can pretty easily make custom ones.

I'm hoping someone comes along and makes a mod with custom racial traits for the animal kingdom peeps as well.

It really wouldn't be hard. I already wrote some events to assign Dark World racial traits to fantasy races in a randomly generated world, it would be trivial to make versions for the animal races too.

No plans as of yet. I'm busy working on the future of Dark World

What are you talking about? I've played CK2+ and Dark World plenty of times. Sure CK2+ changes a lot, but Dark World doesn't change that much, so there's no conflict.

In the decision "dw_vampire_feeds" the potential "is_lover = yes" makes it so that you can feed on anyone's lover.  I noticed this when the Jarl of Viken, who hated me (my rival and vassal), was willing to let me feed on him.  It was driving me crazy trying to figure out why until I checked his relationshipis and saw that he had a hot redhead courtier as a lover.

I would change the line to is_lover = FROM instead.  Putting in a yes/no boolean just makes it try to figure out whether or not the character is a lover at all.  This will also stop random vampires in the realm from feeding on you if you happen to have a lover despite it not being said vampire.

I also recommend adding the following to the same potential:
            NOR = {
                trait = vampire
                trait = vampire_ancient
            }

I mean, that's unless being able to feed on other vampires is intentional.

Edit:  DAMN!  You posted the update while I was posting this!  Lol
Did you already fix these things?  >.<
