Guest Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 When I installed Skyrim the first thing I did was cleaned Update and all 3 DCLs from dirty files with Tes5Edit. Making proper load order with LOOT 0.13.3 and later 0.13.4 both versions reported that my Dawnguard DCL contains dirty files and it recommends cleaning. I did it, but Tes5Edit said that the files is cleaned and there is nothing to be cleaned. I reinstalled Dawnguard and did the same thing again, but LOOT persistently claims Dawnguard contains dirty files. I'm not rookie in this, Did it many times and this is the first time I encountered this problem. Should I just ignore LOOT warning consider it as the bug or should I do something else, and what? Let's assume that Tes5Edit didn't clean it, Is there any serious and potential damage for the game stability?
Guest Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Just ignore Loot. And I recommend installing also USLEEP.

I can play for 2,3,4 hours with more than 200 mod's and zero problems.
Ruffled Pigeon Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 You can clean them, however it is seldom needed. 99% of mods were made with the "dirty" versions and therefore it doesn't do any harm not to. Doesn't do any harm to clean them either on the other hand.
DiscipleOfVirginia Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 I agree with others, you be allright
srayesmanll Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 From what I've seen, Dawnguard needs to be cleaned twice. After the first cleaning, 6 more ITMS will pop up. Not sure why - probably the "undelete and disable" caused some more ITMs. However, after the second "cleaning" I've never had further reports from LOOT saying that they need cleaning. Take what you will from this.
Guest Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Thank you all for your responses. You helped @srayesmanll> I know Dawngaurd needs two times cleaning and I did it, but still LOOT reports dirty files in that DCL. Tes5Edit says: No dirty files present and there si nothing to clean. As I said, this is the first time I have this kind of LOOT problem. I'm a person who always does things by the book and if loot says that some mod contains dirty files, I always clean it unless the mod author says in his description to not to clean it. So, this problem confused me a bit, but if you, guys says it's OK to ignore LOOT in this problem, I will ignore it.
Nazzzgul666 Posted October 1, 2018 Posted October 1, 2018 Mh, my best guess that even could create serious problems would be you somehow messed your load order or something and the cleaned versions aren't loaded properly or in the wrong order or something like that. I don't know how to check that with NMM, but i assume you do.
