kboom Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Hi guys, i'm planing to make Widowmaker sound replacement for sexlab. Does anyone know the guide like what format and bits what is structure of Femalemoan, mild, hot folder etc. Thank you!
Guest Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 All the files should be in WAV format 44KHz, single channel, 16 bits, PCM format. Just keep the same names and the same folders and you can build an overwrite with ease.
27X Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 Can be wav or xwm, use Vlc to preview. Ā 16 to 96-bit will work, obviously former is smaller while latter is better quality Ā Mono sounds like ass so stereo is how you want to do it because making people with good sound set ups go in and have to add a separate channel for panning and hrtf audio is a dick move and doesn't make the files more efficient in anything other than size. Ā There's literally a mod with drag and drop folder set up and download here on the site. Ā

MadMansGun Posted September 25, 2018 Posted September 25, 2018 already found out the hard way that CPU is right, and even the mod you linked is using single channel.
27X Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Nope. Ā If you have hrtf or 3dSo or any other positional audio installed you literally get humping noises that override anything else which is the equivalent of the dragonborn hearing Alduin's interexistential fap sessions directly through Nirn straight into their head. Ā Ā Ā and a 5 five second batch file later with a five minute file conversion after that, all the files in SexLab and Extra Voices are positional audio ready and only about 150% as large as they were previously and it doesn't sound like you're hearing sex directly inside someone's uterus even though they're two houses down, which makes stealing that letter that tells where the Thalmor have Thorald that much easier. Ā If you fucked up the formatting on save, that's entirely on you, or the program you used is not up to the task. Ā Ā
Guest Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 @27XĀ be aware the game engine use MONO sound because it needs to simulate the projection of the sound in a 3D environment. So if you have a sound coming from an object in front of you, it will be equal in the two ears. If you rotate and the object will go to the left, it should be listened from your left ear. If you try to do this with a STEREO sound, then the game needs to first merge together the two tracks, then use it as MONO. (Works in some cases but not always.) A perfect 3D placement of a stereo sound requires a FFT to decompose the frequencies of the two items, a frequency match to project the position in space, and then another inverse FFT for each of the found position to have the sources in space. First it cannot be perfect done that way, second requires an enormous amount of power.
27X Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 I'm aware of what the engine uses, and I'm also aware of how 3dso and hrtf are implemented to create positional sound after gamebryo has finalized the output, which is where stereo comes in.Ā The implementation of hrtfĀ both 3d audio mods for Skyrim use is implicitly binaural, and you can really really tell how badly the mono and most explicitly the amount of compression Bethesda used fucks with it. The very straightforward solution is use higher 'quality' samples, and then people don't sound like they're just yelling in your ear or five miles way with no in between other than generic volume stepping. (it's even worse in SSE, btw) Ā Now you can't reconstruct most Skyrim's base stuff unless it was pulled from stock assets, which some of it was, but any mod outside of Skyrim is more than fair game as long as you have access to the source files, like say... publicly accessible audio from open source/gnu-use sex stuff. Simple as that. Ā As for Vanilla Voices, the sames rule apply in a much lesser degree. You can't unfuck the audio lifted from the fuz banks all that much, but converting to stereo allows proper hrtf propagation and panning values, and upsampling to 48K/16b removes the shitty flatness and over bearing loud/softness when the sound is propagated from more than one source; which as you pointed is mandatory for positional audio. 48K is also conveniently the ceiling for the hrtf sampling for the mod I use in Skyrim. Ā https://www.researchgate.net/publication/280446307_Efficient_HRTF_Interpolation_in_3D_Moving_Sound Ā Best of all you get 3d sound without crashing the shit out of Skyrim on a regular basis with any mod that mods like this don't play well with, which is pretty much everything.

I only know the stimulated voice is in femalemoan04. And how sexlab plays the sound in the animation? does it choose randomly or in order from 000.wav? Because there are a few sound i want it to be played at the end of sex scene.
Guest Posted September 26, 2018 Posted September 26, 2018 Voices are arranged in groups. Each actor has a group assigned. The voices inside a group are played randomly

The number of sound files for each group is predefined. You can add new groups with other sounds, but this will require CK and also some scripting.
