NonExistant24 Posted September 8, 2018 Posted September 8, 2018 Heyas! Sooo, here's the thing. I'd wanted to try & recreate a customized character design of one of my favorite anime characters someone made on tumblr for a playthrough of skyrim, buuuut, I can't find any hairstyles that match!!! @_@ The main problem is that I can't find a haircolor anywhere that's anything like i need, and I have no skill with the creation kit whatsoever, so I figured i'd ask anywhere I might find a lead. Sooo, Does anyone know where I could find (Or how I could create, if needbe, idiot's guide please! xD) a hairstyle like the attached images? Ideally they'd be compatible with Ningheim Race, but I'm willing to settle with the basics, cuz I can always go look up how to make it compatible later or such if I really need to. Thank anyone who can help tons in advance!!
Ernest Lemmingway Posted September 8, 2018 Posted September 8, 2018 Is that even possible? IIRC, hair is a single piece of the overall model (the wig). Getting dual colors would mean a wig that's two separate parts.
HyperonicX Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 There is a way. You would need to modify the hair textures themselves to become half and half. Unless you know what you're doing, it will take some trial and error to get it right. Nifskope can be useful to open the meshes, and after reapplying the hair texture in that, modify said texture using something like Paint.net or GIMP, save it, and have a look to see what has changed. Undoing what you have done is easy, and from there you just keep trying again and again with different ideas until you get it the way you want.
FauxFurry Posted September 9, 2018 Posted September 9, 2018 This is the only mod that I can recall that has that feature: https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/49614

I believed that it would apply here too. But if not, then oh well. I can accept it.
NonExistant24 Posted September 9, 2018 Author Posted September 9, 2018 wow, cool! thank you all for the responses. WELP. time to start experimenting with 3d modeling. xD honestly i'd expected it to end up being a lot more complicated, hehe.
