Is there a way to turn it off? Make it so it doesn't distort.

I think is a problem of ENB when render underwater.

For be sure, disable your ENB pressing F12 or Shift F12 or Control F12, depending of your configuration.

We have a lot of problems when want see tats in feets when they are underwater.

If the problem is ENB the only solution is configure it correctly, but i'm not expert in ENB configuration.

I only use ENB in boost mode. My old machine not support full ENB.

I use to have Snapdragon prime before I switch over to Anko ENB. The problem persist through both enb.

I have the same problem, even without an enb or mods that change water.

If you have this problem or similar WITHOUT ENB only can be for bad setting in the ini files.

Dowload BethIni for correct your ini files.

Damn I use ENB. I try messing around with the WATER tab in the INI, setting everything to false still give me the problem.

those feets behind the body it's an effect

that isn't on all body parts under the water

because strange settings?

instead of messing around randomly with those settings to get new problems, why not compare your mess to settings that work?

Reflection Magnitude

This value determines how much the normals (from the noise wave pattern texture) will affect the distortion amounts of the reflections on the water surface. At 0% you will have perfectly still reflections while at 100% you will have the full effect of distortion coming from the magnitude of the normals.

Refraction Magnitude

This is similar to the reflection magnitude in that it scales up/down the distortion of the refractions seen under the water.

Very well seen, I did not think about that. yatol may be right.

If the problem disapear when disable ENB is, evidently, a problem in ENB configuration.

If the problem persist when disable ENB is, evidently, a problem in a mod.

If the problem appear ONLY in some waters of some mod can be a problem in how the ESP of the mod define the water properties. Ask in the forum of the mod.

If the problem appear in ALL water of ALL skyrim can be a mod that change the water properties for entire skyrim. Disable mod's until locate the problem.

All of this, of course, with ENB disabled.

Have been testing without ENB and all the water mods. I still get the problem, so it's either the Refraction and Reflection (which Idk where to change) like yatol stated above, or it's a mod. Pure and W.A.T.E.R only change the look of the surface. It could be another mod that causing it, but I have a feeling that it's not.

Same situation, same answer.

If you disable your ENB and remove your waters mods, teorically you are playing a vanilla skyrim, talking about water, and the solution can be the same.

Open BethIni and activate Enb Mode and Recomended Tweaks. Press High and Save/exit.

Test your game again and tell us the results.

Of course, make test in a NEW GAME. Some problems can come from damaged or corrupted savegames.

And test with diferent races, maybe you are ussing a specialiced race with specific parameters. Use vanilla races.
