Well its out since yesterday. Wonder what kind of mods people will make.

Alright, I'll get this started because it's better to show and tell ahead of time if there's enough progress.

 

I've already begun something but it's not finished yet. I don't discriminate with genders so here's an explanation.

 

Upon the day of its release, I began tampering with the files and managed to swap into a totally nude Kiryu.

 

 

 

 

The model itself is smooth, sweaty, and glaringly fitting but unfortunately isn't anatomically correct.

 

 

 

Unfortunately, this is where the main problem comes. The game only allows certain exchanges that don't cause constant crashing. I'm not saying the model is broken, because it works within movie scenes like a charm, but in-game it's a goddamn nightmare.

 

 

 

 

 

It's fucking horrifying. Like some shit straight out of The Grudge or a scary sequel to Memoirs of a Geisha. Playable to an extent but horrifying.

 

I don't want to release this in the condition it's in because obviously it'll need more work. But these games will need super tools to make the process faster and easier because it's tedious to reload the saves and game to assure the mods work without any negative repercussions. I've learned that the slightest mistake stops the game from being played further or loading into the stages.

 

Also, it's possible to play as a female character but others haven't figured that out yet except for me.

 

 

Despite her seemingly manly pose, it's possible to do this but again it's constant trial-and-error with this shit. It's also possible to do this for other characters but that's optional and yet still follows the same issue. I just hate the fact that the game is so sensitive and can't handle one incorrect model not loading without committing suicide without warning. I must admit it's quite fun to prance around nude or as another character seeing the interesting reactions too.

Modded the cards so they are much more x-rated and less softcore. They look pretty legit if i do say so myself as i spent ages in Photoshop trying to get the "card look". I also added a little start/rarity icon in the top left. 1 star - good 2 star - better and 3 stars - best. Obviously there is no "rarity" i just thought it'd be cool. Shh.

 

Not finished yet and i haven't collected them all, but once i've finished them, you'll see the modded version when you pick up a new card from the ground.

I like what I see. Great job. There's plenty left to be done but that's down the line.

I've finished and released the card mod for anyone who is interested.

 

I've also added an extra folder you can download with a Photoshop template + a step by step picture guide on how to make your own cards.

@SepticSpoon This is an amazing idea for a mod. Changing the videos to hardcore versions would make the game more realistic too, IMO.

I'm working on swapping out the videos, but it's a little tricky because of how they're compressed. They're .m2v videos with .h2a audio stored in a .usm archive and each video is 1 minute 4 seconds exactly. (Not sure if it's possible to extend the video length yet.) I've manged to extract the video and audio and even re-compile them back into a .usm archive, but when i enter the store my game goes onto an infinite loading screen.

 

I'll keep working at it until i get it working or someone else does. Either of those outcomes is fine with me just as long as it happens. Never underestimate the power of porn! ?

 

 

Edit:

 

I've made progress. I can now get any video in-game (not sure about audio yet so going to test that now. Audio also works.)

 

Also the video can be however long you like because the camera will just stay there and play the whole video and once that video is finished it'll trigger the "phew" - looks at tissues scene.

There are still a couple of issues. Like; Both fixed and better quality and no letterbox is in the preview

• The letterbox format (not a fan of that, but may also just be the video. More testing will have to be done.)
• quality is a bit trash, but i think the random video i downloaded was only 240p. (The middle girl is Iori Kogawa btw from the cards.)

Now the only issue left is when you pick up a card it'll still say the models name "You found Iroi Kogawa type C card" - Even if the card is someone else.

 

It seems easy enough to edit, but not really, because from what i've worked out the file i need to edit is inside the all.par. It's easy to open that .par file, but inside it contains .gmt and .mep files and there is currently no known way to read/open them.

 

But on the bright side, whoop new videos.

 

 

Side note: I'll have to look into higher compressing options because as it stands the vanilla .usm stood at a respectable 23-24 MB and the modded .usm stands at an insane 600+ MB (Although that is for an 8 minute video.  Still, i believe a 1:04 video would still be 100+ MB. That's also another issue i face. Now knowing how long i should make the videos because too long and i feel like it'd get boring.

Thanks, currently working on swapping the original girls videos with more hardcore versions for the erotic store. There are 30 to do so it'll take a while. (I'm on 6 )

 

New mod - Yakuza 0 Erotic Video Swap. - Swaps all the original girls videos with their more hardcore versions.

 

I'm still working out compression as i want to get the .usm below 100 MB for each model. (Below 50 MB would be perfect, although it'll still probably be about 1 GB to download them all because the original .usm are only 24 MB and all 30 is 750 MB.) I'll keep pushing it and see how it looks/works.

Clearly, he's hot as fuck and doesn't care about being seen totally nude in public, which for some makes it even hotter, and naturally brings more leverage to the game's comedic and sensual appeal to balance the discomforting brutality. Yes, I looked and have no shame because that disappoints me. I hate both blank base models and singular clothed material parts on an invisible model.  I presume it's because censorship is also present in Yakuza Ishin with an entire nude bath fight sequence with cleverly implemented steam clouds covering the goodies and full moon for extra comedic effect.

No promises for an instant release but I'll keep everyone updated about the progress. I would love to have more hot characters naked but that's far down the line as long as their unclad models exist. Enjoy the previews for now.

Nope, not yet. Although I haven't touched this game in months I haven't forgotten. That looks like a Weights error, or missing bones.

After rigging the model to the game's bones, go into Pose Mode and move the model. If it deforms, there's your problem.
