Halstrom Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 glad to hear it, almost done making dr into dt actually then ill need someone to walk me through setting up a download section page and ill work on breaking up my archives into a good size/format Click Downloads on top right Upload file button Pick catagory Select & Attach files Fill out Name/Version number etc Submit Cheezits & Profit!! It will automatically create a support topic, the only trick is any edits done to the first post of the support topic are overwritten by any later edits in the download file description so do your edits in the download file description. Reserve yourself the 2nd post for old versions etc.
Bashis Posted April 14, 2013 Posted April 14, 2013 gonna be a little bit more converting this, just found out about some armor sets in here has a sharded version, (5 or so armor adons using different biped slots, kind of like how oblivion armor works.) although that gives me an idea for when im done, i know someone on here is working on a clothing system for sexout, that includes damage outfits/swapping, doing that with already sharded armor meshes like these might make for some really interesting breaking armor support for this massive pack, with alot less work than normal since the outfits are already torn up, would just have to make some tear marks in the meshes and have it swap to individual parts of the outfit when the damage occours, (like at 75 remove shoulders and extra guard peices, 50 remove arm ad leg peices, 25....use your imagination). i might be thinking about this all wrong but shouldnt it be easier to damage a set of armor that can already be taken off peice by peice?

The damaged armor swapping is mainy designed around the Upperbodyslot 2 but I can't see why it can't work for other bodyslots for individual parts, it's just a lot more assets to create, but in a way it makes sense too as you wouldn't need pregnant variations of the addon armor extra's, just the main suit, it just becomes a headache when someone wants to wear 2 accessories in the same slot. If you create the assets in an esp patch for SCR with just the armors & formlist additions copying the naming conventions used in there, I can add them in easily. You also need to make sure your 25%, 50% & 75% versions have their values, health, weights and AR/DT adjusted accordingly. You don't have to do 25% & 75% the system can just work on 50% versions, it also should strip the item automatically when it reaches 0 health. Tthe worst thing when doing more assets is if you have to add a lot of textures and the nif part naming convention is screwy, that's why we gave up on the GhostSuit variations, there were near a dozen textures to add to each variation and the naming convention was screwed so it was trial and error to work out which tecture went where on every varation.
Bashis Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 well i have no creative talent at all, my speciality is doin this sort of work, and brainstorming, so that was basicly just me putting a thought out there, as well as this one, it would be amazing to see some sexout plugins use the outfits and races enclosed in this pack, kind of like how some loverswithpk use mbp++ to make their npc's attractive, this could add alot to sexout as a platform of outfits and based on personal taste, races to use making some plugins, as alot of these clothings are skimpy/sexy as is........i mean comon this thing screams japanese.

Well now I seem to have a system nutted out it's all rinse & repeat stuff that I can leave for others to do while I tackle other bigger issues, the scripting isn't even hard to do it's just modifying existing scripts to suit different outfits a lot of which can be done in notepad with the save & replace function.
Bashis Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 ok one final (i hope) question before i release this, i want to make the mods as user friendly as possible, the cw clothes plugin has formid lists and even containers made with all the armors/weapons it adds already set up, but theres no cell/worldspace entries so from what i can tell the containers arent actually being used, is there any way to easily add the trunk of stuff to the wasteland, or hell even set up a simple vender to sell it all, using the already made containers? remember this kid of work is all new to me so simple explanations are better, or even someone with knowledge of creating shops take the esm and add it in real fast possibly, i just know i hate spawning equipment and hardly ever do, so adding all this stuff in as rescource only except for what litle bit is used by pretty things seems like a massive waste.

HashiriyaR32 Posted April 15, 2013 Posted April 15, 2013 The reason that there are no cell/worldspace entries for a crate containing the apparel was because they were phased out either in the current or recent version of cwclothes (That container and nvloc esp I was looking for and any references to them, plus any images of cwclothes content showing up in a crate in the Goodsprings store was for a previous version. These 2 esps would cause a crate of the stuff to be added to the Goodspring General store), and because you could buy all those things from the 8 CWDolls EZCompanions (the kids have one inventory set while the adults have the other). However, you would need the EZ_CompanionNVSECWwCWClothes esp in order for those companions to start carrying them in their vendor inventory.

And this is how it works for me, your load order mileage may vary, In general I place any NPC beautification *.esp as near to the bottom as possible, due to the fact they love to "trump" each other. When using "Lings" whether it is FO3 or FNV, I get the best results with it very last. In the case of CWDolls and CWClothes, it will definitely depend on what "add-on" *.esp files it uses, for instance I see CWPrettyThings and LingsPrettyThings. Without running FNVEDit and looking at the conflict detection filter to see what jumps out, I am thinking that LingsPrettyThings and CWPrettyThings probably will not play well together without some serious work. As to the clothes not working at all when given to an NPC, this may be due to the "body" type of the NPC, most of CWDolls and CWClothes has it's own built in body types and races, but the majority of them are based on Dimon's HD Base. I would try to make a quick companion with something like EZ Companion mod and make sure they use the HD Base Type 3 body, usually the only issue with clothes and incorrect body is some clipping, for them to not wear them at all is very odd. Only time I have had that happen is when they had something equipped that was better, in this case a higher DT.
