ive been installing alot lately, maybe i just pulled the 1.6-2 out of my ass, but yea i totally forgot they packed clothing esp files into the bsa's, not a smart move on their part, as far as those other 2 plugins i never read or heard of em, but by the names im assuming it adds all the clothes into the game in a box somewhere, instead of having to spawn them in.

Actually, you were sorta right about the filesize (it really is around that range) so you didn't really pull the number out of your ass.  Now the real trouble is that I need that container in place because I have NONE of the spawn codes for any of the new items, and the topic doesn't have links to those 2 esps (all they do is mention it).

 

EDIT: Well well, guess I don't need those 2 esps.

tip, now that you have cw dolls and clothes in place, if you search through that site they have a plugin that will populate the wasteland with those races/clothes, but that one takes alot of renaming to get to work right, because it will try to change every npcs name to chinese, so you have to manually revert all of them.

What sorta sucks is that ALL of the apparel in CWClothes isn't edited right for FONV (eg. They ALL use DR and not DT)

Someone should redit it and while they are at it split it into groups of outfits so the file isn't so huge, and people could choose outfits they didn't want added and it could be hosted here so the download link didn't keep moving all over the internet every 3 months.

the whole crosswings mod pack i think should have been picked up a loooooong time ago for a good solid english translation/cleaning. i just ended up using google translate to rename what needed to be because i cant chinese worth a damn.

 

would be great if someone ripped apart that website and made some solid english versions, the quality of those plugins is something you just dont see anymore, its amazing, but then again just getting all the files, let alone translate them, seems like one hell of a monumental task. just the cw clothes/dolls could take weeks to fix, and multiply that by a few times if they decided to go for the rebirth/eternal fantasy plugins as well.......you would need a team of people who could translate chinese to even consider something like that.

 

btw i do have all the cw clothes/dolls and eternal fantasy files downloaded if anyone wanted to try diving into that mess, still working on downloading the rebirth data files.

i have a question for anyone whos browsed the site in the op thats hosting all the cw content, i found the plugin to change all the npcs in game to using cw dolls/clothes assets (almost done translating it), like a xeo overhaul, but for some reason the mod creator didnt have it change any unique npc with a name, so "ncr trooper" and anything genericly named now will look awsome, but its kinda strange to see those few normal npcs walking around, especially since they are the important ones you talk to. my question is is there a mod that does change the important/named npcs like this also on that site, and i just overlooked it, or did they really not overhaul named npcs?

We may have to do ANOTHER round of BSA unpacking when Johnny updates the cwclothes pack (eg. change all the DR values to DT so the clothes usable), unless he removes all the esps from the BSA's like I recommended.

changing dr to dt wont change any rescources used, if thats all the update will do then the only thing you would have to do is put in the new esm with the changes, the bsa files have nothing to do with it, there just meshes, textures, and for some reason a few esps that you dont need (and probably shouldnt use) as cw clothes puts all the armor in a shop in game anyways.

if i dont keel over and die for no reason i should finally be done translating the overhaul plugin from that site sometime "today", so if you have cw dolls and clothes installed your in for a treat.

finally done....all englishified now. if you have cw clothes and dolls installed properly and throw this in your load order, all your non named npcs will get a major makeover and change of clothing.

 

if someone could host the newest version of the 2 cw mods and this on some download site thats halfway reliable (i have all the files and would be willing to if someone walked me through how to do it on a free site, as i have no file sharing xp) we have a fully english xeosp-type mod for new vegas ready to go.

Getting red diamonds on most of the un-named female NPCs (missing hair mesh or something because everything else is shown).  I swear I have all the cwclothes and dolls stuff installed right.

ill reeboot up my game to double check, but i tested it myself before i sat there and translated all the npc names it it was working just fine

launched it, started a new game, ~tgm and took a stroll, everything working as it should, new npcs all round, with new outifts, no errors aynwhere, i can upload some screenies from my travel from goodsprings to the mohaje outpost in this post.

 

most likely your cwdolls is out of date (considering all the trouble you went through with cwclothes im pretture sure thats the correct version you have), the one here on mediafire will NOT work, its an old version, you need the newest one from their site, the mediafire one has about 100mb less data, meaning that could be your issue.

 

might also help to tell me where you were at when the errors attacked, i can go check that specific location for you.

 

uploaded all my screenies form the walkabout, people can use them for reference on what the cw mod will make their game look like before they install, keep in mind about half the npcs will get crazy outfits form the pack, like that one schoolgirl outfit on the viper gang leader in one screenshot, i just got crap luck in my walking path and only saw one custom armor.

 

now im going to start working on setting all the armors dr to dt, the cw mod i just posted does it for the armors in use by npcs, so it wont make them really weak, i just need to do the rest of them in the cw clothes esm. once thats done ill figure out how to host all the data files and the fixed up esp/m's

is there a way to edit an ESM file in any way, geck wont let me set it to active, am i going to have to make a whole new esp to load after cwclothes to apply the fixes, or is there a way to edit contents of an esm?  cant really start on clothing fixes until i figure this out, and google hasnt been any help.

 

i think i figured it out, i can unflag it as an esm, do all the edits, then reflag it to make it an esm once more, im gonna get crackin on it, if doing this will break anything please let me know.

I got my version of CWdolls straight from the chinese site.  I got both the v1.32 main files and the v1.321 update.   The problem first came up when I entered Sloan from the North.  While the 2 women on the north side had no errors, the woman sitting by the office had a red diamond (and no hair).  I then warped to Goodsprings, and I noticed that all the unnamed females there had error'd hair.

 

Also, don't touch the DR/DT values on the clothes.  Johnny will do it himself for the next update.  He said that he'll retain the DR values, but add DT values to the clothes (The DT value will be 1/3 of the DR value).

Use the latest beta version of GECK PowerUp fork as found via my sig thread, it edits ESM's directly.

 

And why not break it up into 60Mb files so it can be uploaded to here, sure as hell were're going to have people posting "the link is dead" here again in 12 months time when your host site bans it or you move on otherwise.

how long do you think it will take for this update to come out, because when i can add dt to all the armors in the esm in 3-5 hours, i dont plan on waiting 4 weeks for an update to come out, im gonna keep working.

If you feel like doing it now, go for it.

 

Also, I'm gonna try and turn off "CWDollsVanillaRaceChange" and just use your esp to see if it gets fixed.  I think I was error'ing because I was running both that and your ESP.

 

EDIT: Nope, still bugging.

 

EDIT2: Ack, I apparently DON'T have the 1.321 update, I only have the esms and esps.  Grabbing it now, will get back to you.

 

EDIT3: And I'm not sure how 1.321 is gonna help, because it only updates the MoonShadowRace bsa.

 

EDIT4: It fixed NOTHING.  Also, don't mind that one of my companions has glitching hair in that shot, it's fine before and after I took the shot.

EDIT5: Second screenshot marks the first non-glitched person I've seen.  However whatever armors you gave these guys (I dug an "NCR Armor 5" from her inventory), I don't have them.

E6: And another non-glitched, though the Caravaneer sleeping beside her IS glitched.  Also, please upload the NCR armors that you're using because while the soldiers inside the Mojave Oupost main building AREN'T glitched, I don't have the meshes/textures for the armors you assigned to them.

totally slipped my mind but there was some data for this on the chinese download page, i dont know why i didnt think of it, so its my fault for not including/mentioning that, throw this data pack in your game and i can almost guarentee it will fix your errors

 

and as a side note if that 1/3 of dr value is the formula hes going to use to convert, you will end up with sets of hulking colossus power armor in your game less effective than leather armor, most of the armors dr is set to the dt of its mojave counterpart, and im using pics of the armor and deciding on dt based on what the armor is, and what its original dr was. some needed some serious lowering or they would be to op, but alot of them translate straight across the board, combat armors in the 20's, light skimpys in the 5-15 range, and future tech and massive armor is 35+, about 1/3 of the way done.

glad to hear it, almost done making dr into dt actually then ill need someone to walk me through setting up a download section page and ill work on breaking up my archives into a good size/format
