Conversions for UNPB with BBP

hey everybody, I took the dragonscale chainmail armor but the gloves and the boots are invisible.

does it happened to somebody else?

and if yes, did you manage to fix the problem

That mod only replaces the cuirass piece. Boots and gloves are not included, so you are using the vanilla dragonscale boots and gloves, or another mod is affecting them.

 

Try to get the items through console:

player.additem 1393d 1

player.additem 1393f 1

 

How many files do you have in skyrim\Data\meshes\armor\dragonscale?

The console command gave me items with the same problem.

but just not on my character.

I don't know If it the kind of things that I can  download...

I don't know If it the kind of things that I can  download...

Delete dragonscalebootsf_0.nif, dragonscalebootsf_1.nif, dragonscaleglovesf_0.nif, dragonscaleglovesf_1.nif (backup if you want)

Then your game will use the vanilla meshes from the .bsa file in data folder

Had to google to know what are those "ko" units. 2ko seems too low to be ok, I think those files are broken

the lighting on the new armor is kind of awkward. when I stand near flame, the armor covering the stomach portion becomes very dark

Thanks for reporting the issue, I didn't noticed it in my tests.

I have bad news, I don't know how to fix it

In fact I have conversions on hold for lightning issues like this one. Luckily this time is not very noticeable...

I've checked the original armor and also has the problem.

Does anyone know how to fix it, or where to look at?

Have a look at the alpha properties.  

It's hard for me to differentiate which parts are going where and showing there,  (Im not using the set atm)  but it looks like there are a few different ones being used.

Try setting it:

Flags : 4844

Threshold : 128

 

Click the little flag dohickey, and make sure:

Enable Blending is unchecked

Enable testing is checked

Test function should be greater...  if I remember correctly.

Just changing those first two numbers should set that for you, but couldn't hurt to double check.

 

That will disable blending though, so translucent stuff will go strange (if there is any).  Clear/invisible stuff will still be invisible.  and it should keep the parts from disappearing in water.

 

I think apachii skyhair has an alpha with blending enabled, and it doesn't disappear in water with the hairs I've used anyway.  Might be worth looking at the settings on those as well.

What's the best way to try to get the nails onto a race's body?  (I have a custom race so that it won't go on every body).  I tried copying a block in nifscope and pasting it that way but with no success.

The only other possibility I can think of is trying,  (in Nifskope)

 Right clicking the TriShape -> Mesh -> Face Normals

 

But that only seems to work for me when I have textures turn inside-out... 

And you'd know what I mean by that if you've seen it happen. lol

 

I'd try and help figure it out for sure but......   I just learned how to make new collision objects =O

so I'm making some new portable campsite stuff for myself xD

It imports fine, but the default pose is so different I can't do it without destroying the mesh..... or maybe I'm just too impatient to do it lol

Has no weight slider.

@B3lisario - Awesome work on the Ro armor!  I can't wait to add that to the growing collection of UNPB armors :D

 

@Cyndi - I've converted several armors from oblivion successfully, and even converted skyrim armors TO oblivion ;p.  I actually made a huge guide on how to do it.

The same link works for rigging oblivion armors into skyrim.  All you need to do is put the skeleton I linked there into the scene, then import UNPB.  Then Import the oblivion armor.  It'll look kind of funky due to the auto rigging.  Then after you adjust everything, I suggest you export it then re import it normally.  Meaning import unpb body with the regular skeleton you use, and then the oblivion modified armor.  For some reason if I didn't do this, I ran into some issues lol.

 

I could perhaps look at the armor itself, though it takes a loooooooong time for me to do.  Since I really focused on my Mak/CT vanilla style conversions, I probably wouldn't be able to get to it for a while.  If you need help though, I'd be glad to help.
