ragnarjama Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 There's this neck seam that has been driving me insane and I have no idea how to fix it. I've tried textureblender, installing an older version of "all in one animated pussy" and made sure that no textures are overlapping. Nothing worked. Here's my mod list: https://imgur.com/a/284xgh2 and here is a picture of the issue: https://imgur.com/a/hCLZxDV Thank you in advance!
dankmemesxd Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 Sorry, but I do not see any neck seam. But if you see it, try fair skin universalizer https://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/51602/?tab=files
freddark Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 If I am not mistaken, from the picture it seems like your character's head weight is larger than its body weight. Not a texture issue. Try setting the body weight to 100 and work downwards if there is a neck gap. Happy modding.
GenioMaestro Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 I not see seam problem... maybe with more screenshot at full resolution we can see it. You can put images in this message, simply drop it here. And is better if not cut it.

As far as I can see there is no gap on lower weights but rather a skin color issue. But it might be as you say, perhaps it is a mesh issue but I really have no idea how I would fix that.

freddark Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 From your new picture, I am almost certain it is a head mesh issue. The head mesh is more than 100 weight (yes it can happen). Try using racemenu to reduce the head weight to 0, set body weight to 100 and work downwards. Hope you solve it.

I'll give it a shot, thank you! Although, this wouldn't completely solve my problem since this is an issue on female NPCs as well. Do you perhaps know of anything else I should do to hopefully fix it?
freddark Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 Sorry forget what i said in the previous post. That method only works for npc's if you export the head and use it in the CK. Won't work for a player character. Where did you get that head mesh?
GenioMaestro Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 Im not sure about weigth problem. Normally, weigth problem generate a gap between head and body. Maybe with other hair we can see it better. For me, appear a texture problem, and im not sure if you can solve it installing the body mod again, but try it. The best way is edit the dds files, open the body and head in Gimp and copy the color from the neck body and paste it in the neck head. Of course, you need some knowledge in image manipulation. Im not an expert and can't explain it better. Edit: Modify the dds, if you make it good, solve the problem for PC and normal NPC's but not for modded npcs because normally have their own dds files.

I acquired pretty much all of the female stuff from "All-in-One UUNP HDT Animated Pussy 4.0" and its requirements, along with fair skin complexion.
Grey Cloud Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 I don't see a neck gap or a neck seam. What I see is shadow. Perhaps a shot where there is some light might help.

SleepyJim Posted July 4, 2018 Posted July 4, 2018 If it's the mesh, the default location for it is data\meshes\actors\character\character assets\femalehead.nif. If you can find out which mod has changed that you might find the problem. You could also try downloading a new mod that changes that file, such as one of RAN's head meshes from the nexus, and see if that fixes it. If it's textures, just try to make sure you're using complete or compatible sets. You usually get skin textures in four sets - diffuse (.dds) normal (msn.dds) specular (s.dds) and sub-surface (sk.dds) - and each set should contain three textures - head, hands and body. If you make certain each of the three textures in one set is from the same mod, or mods compatible with each other, it can help to minimise seams. You don't need all sets from the same mod, though. For example, I have mature skin diffuse, SG Renewal normal and specular, and no more ugly bronze shine sub-surface, and the body normal I use is a muscle map built from an SG base, so it matches the other SG normals.
