woodsman30 Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 As the coin say is there a tutorial for setting up SSE and SKSE64 with Oldrim still working with SKSE ? Do they use different paths ect. Seen somethings but they are for Oldrim Just want to make sure it gets set up right any help I would be grateful
Akzyra Posted June 11, 2018 Posted June 11, 2018 Just put the files from SKSE64 into the game folder and run the skse64_loader.exe. You don't need the "src" folder, it contains the source code of skse64, used for creating plugins.

My area of expertise is far flung from computers that being said i thank you anyway

Not sure why this is not a sticky for tech support for SSE.

I assume the process of simply "unpacking a zip-file into your game folder, and use the contained .exe to lauch the Game" is considered to be to trivial to warrant a sticky... Especially due to the fact that there IS a Modding-guide which also covers the Script extender: The process is the same, just when it comes to the .ini, i only really put one entry in it: [General] ClearInvalidRegistrations=1 And even this is not required to run skse64, it just makes it clean up after uninstalling mods.

Well looking around I seen many questions re-guarding this about SKSE64 and people installing it wrong... Why is it trivial to want to do something right? Besides what one considers trivial may not be to others.. I consider building a house trivial that does that mean it is... it means not everyone knows the same things.Besides, the question was answered and really did not need your input... input is only valid if it helps and a guide from 2015 may not be valid in 2018.

Who am i to judge, what information you -or potential other readers- consider as useful or valid, not knowing their knowledge on this topic. I provided a link to a Guide which is still largely valid, which people might not know about, and additional info which might be useful for someone. Now you are deciding what "input" might be valid for others and should be in this topic. But i will keep your personal opinion on feedback in mind, and refrain to contribute to other topics of yours.
