aep AEP_Career_4.8.3 - Bug Update- December 4, 2025

hey! For whatever reason this mod crashes when I try to create a channel. This just doesn't happen and my sim just stands next to the computer table. Does anyone know what could be an issue?

Seems like a particular file is trying to draw on a invalid library causing several glitches.

lot51_core is throwing up an error. I updated lot51_core and removed the version in the AEP folder, and now all the AEP menus and computer options are gone.

Everything is working fine for me. I have the most recent AEP (December I think?) and the most recent Lot 51 (April). No problems.

Dunno what the original problem was, but...
I had removed AEP and lot51, ran the game and saved, and now I reinstalled AEP and Lot51 and it's working.

So you don't have the problem where Sims lose the career and it is impossible to have a porn star career? 

And also the Venus Awards are broken, played sims who are nominated never win. 

 

It's only the camera stuff and the computer interactions that is working without problems for me.

Nope. All the career stuff works for me. As for awards, my sim definitely won one, but that might have been a few months ago, so the game has been updated since.

 

Actually, let me correct that. A couple of details give me problems. I think there is a work task about keeping fit that never fires for me. Also, I often find that promotions are very difficult. My sims often max out the bar, and then drop back just a tad right at the very end of the day. But for the most part, everything is going dandy. And none of them have lost their career or been unable to join. Is everything on your end up to date? If so, my guess would be you have another mod that's old and causing problems, but that's just a guess. You never know what kinds of mischief old mods can get up to.

 

I play about 99% of AEP with my main porn empire sims at their personal video studio. But a lot of the supporting characters are also AEP employees, and even though I don't play them very often, when I do, they are still employed and still making progress.

Lots of that seems to be going around lately (problems just mysteriously disappearing). I don't know enough about the nuts and bolts of TS4 to offer an opinion why, but it does seem to be a pattern lately. Oh well. Mods, you know.

That is puzzling. I read that almost all career mods are broken. My NPCs that spawn as pornstars when it is Venus awards also drop their career eventually and the next Venus awards the game spawns new NPCs because there are none with the career, and the result is that my world have too many famous unemployed sims.

 

When I join the career with my household sims they drop the career in a matter of minutes. 

 

Edit: I am still on 1.125, but as far as I know the change that broke modded careers have not been changed back in the later patches.

 

Edit: Do you have the Royalty and Legacy pack?

The bug where custom careers stopped working was introduced with that pack and it might only affect the game if that pack is installed. Or so I just read.

And it has not been fixed in the latest patch.

hello i need with your mod i cant seem to put a video studio lot in anywhere . if you click on to any vacant lot when you look to change the lot type the video studio lot type is not there . its never happen before . how do i fix this ? thank you

Is AEP working otherwise? If the mod is working, and your only problem is that you can't assign that lot type, then it's probably because you don't have an updated venue list installed. Make sure you install one (and only one!), and then try again. Here's the one I use.

The lot type is called Personal Video Studio. If you have everything installed correctly, you should be able to edit an empty lot from the manage worlds screen, and change the lot type to that.

i downloaded the mod zip file and its only got the photography studio . i put one of my old personal video studio on it says the its disable for special venues . i dont know any of that means . what do i do ?

I'm sorry you will need to explain your process in more detail. What says it's disabled? Did you do what I said in the previous post and try to edit a lot from manage worlds into a personal video studio? Etc.

just found out that the APP on their phones is there . but i just cant put  a personal video studio lot in the change lot menu . please this is my fav mod
