[REQUEST] Lore-Friendly Erotically Illustrated Books

Thanks to TheFirstLadyOfHats for inspiring this. If you've played Morrowind you might remember Boethiah's Pillow Book, a quest item for the Thieves' Guild. A modder named AlienSlof replaced the plain "There are no words to describe what is in this book" with some Daedric script and English translations as well as some illustrations that fit in quite well with the style of the game. Sadly there hasn't been a mod like that I know of since. Yes, there are some mods that add books with pornographic pictures, but these are always new books and they either use screenshots from the game or scanned images. Nothing that really fits with the world of TES.

 

How many books in Skyrim have the potential for erotic pictures? Quite a few, actually. The Lusty Argonian Maid books, The Wraith's Wedding Dowry, Harvesting Frostbite Spider Venom, even Among the Draugr (how do the dragon priests drain draugr?). I would be ashamed of this community if they couldn't find justification to turn every book into something worthy of erotic pics! Preferably drawn images, since photography doesn't exist in TES. Unless it's a book written by someone half-skilled in Illusion. :classic_tongue:

For some reason I thought that was from a mod. But yeah! Another good example of a canon book just screaming for illustrations.

Troll Hunting is on my list of books for pictures.

 

So, we have (with content guesses):

 

Boethiah's Pillow Book (porn)

The Lusty Argonian Maid ( I, II, Folio, Bard) (porn x 4, alt 4 Argonian line drawings)

The Wraith's Wedding Dowry (art/drawings: orc in dress)

Harvesting Frostbite Spider Venom (spider anatomy drawings, alt spider beastiality)

Among the Draugr (draugr line drawings/sketches)

Thief of Virtue (potentially porn, or just drawings of bedroom, characters)

 

I seem to remember something about the Real Barenziah books, the ones she did and not the ones about her, having some alternate version or mod added edition that was a bit more explicit in some areas.

 

Talara (5 book series) could have some illustrations of the parade in the first book, nearly naked damsel in book2, flat out porn in book 4

 

Regarding "overly realistic" books... there was a quest in Oblivion where you entered a magical painting to rescue the artist and his special paint brush. Could be a daedric artifact or something else made by an Alteration or Illusion Master that creates realistic images directly from the artists' mind or creates in the mind an image that fits the story. One way to explain screen shots at least: not pictures but memories copied onto the pages like magic scrolls.

 

I am not that good at drawing and I'd probably mess up leveled lists requiring a fancy bashed patch, but I can edit images and add them to books and could make a mod if people want to post links to pictures. I think if we wanted to pornify all of the books, starting with the common ones that most often show up would be best. Make ones that will be seen the most then go for the rare and skill books.

IIRC, when Barenziah gets to Riften, she meets with a Thieves Guild member to make sure they are okay with her running jobs on the area, and that member turns out to be a Khajiit named Therris.

 

In the original/uncensored version (seen in IIRC Daggerfall and Morrowind?), Therris asks her for sex in exchange for the "membership" and basically bangs her in the inn right in front of all the patrons, and Barenziah passes out from pain. When she wakes up, Therris tells her Khajiit penises are barbed (like RL felines have them) and that's why that happened. In the censored version we have in the later games including Skyrim, that part is missing and instead there is a note saying it has been censored by order of some entity (a college or something?).

 

I'm quoting from memory so I may be wrong on some details, but what I know for sure is that the censored part has Therris having sex with Barenziah and the statement about Khajiit penises being barbed.

 

EDIT: nevermind, it was actually censored by the Dunmer Tribunal Temple, lol.

"Nice pair, kid." She was facing the wall but she could feel the stares of the other patrons. A hush had fallen over the place. Even the bard had stilled. She felt both nausea and a hot burning desire. Her hands released his turgid penis and then it was inside her and she was screaming in both pain and ecstasy. Then everything went black.

When she came to herself again she was sitting beside Therris, who was buttoning her shirt.

"That hurt!" she said indignantly.

"Always does, kid. Didn't anyone ever tell you about Khajiit men? It hurts good though, now doesn't it?"

Barenziah scowled at him. She was still smarting. His penis had tiny little barbs on it.

"Well, the deal's off, if you like," he shrugged.

"No, I didn't say that. Only I prefer privacy, and I want to wait awhile, like a day or so before the next time."

Therris laughed. "You're OK, kid."

Not bad. But one of the reasons I included "illustrated" in the request is, at least for the books already in-game, the reading is often dry, usually rather sparse on details, and always dull after reading it over and over again. Sometimes across several TES titles. Even The Unexpurgated Barenziah loses a lot of its appeal after reading it enough.
