your work is simply amazing, i enjoy including them in my sessions. i must ask though, are you thinking about doing makeovers for the sims living in the brindleton bay?

cool, premade sim are too ugly. i don't understand why maxis never created  beautiful in game templates , they prefer to  let the work to the people.

Thank you! Yes, I will be doing Brindleton Bay as well once I finish City Living.

Yeah, I tend to keep the facial structure of most sims basically the same – or just do a few minor adjustments – since I don't really mind how a lot of them look. Some of them are pretty bad, though. Like, whoever made the Caliente household did a terrible job, especially with Nina:

I devote a lot more time and effort into the ones I think look bad or sub-par and I make more drastic changes to their facial structure (Like with the Calientes). My real gripe with the premade sims is their makeup and hair. I know plenty people like them, but I just think it looks weird.

I'm kinda new to Sims 4 moding so my question might sound dumb. They all look great, but I wonder if by replacing households I won't break some game elements. I mean, aren't there any scripted events or something that goes with different sims, like being part of particular club or having specific carriers or property ownership?

Hi there.

Nothing will "break," but some things will be lost if you replace the original households with mine. As far as I can tell, relationship with sims outside of the household will be wiped, and clubs might be erased, but careers will remain intact. As for property, you're meant to replace the original household with my versions in CAS (make sure you type in "testingcheats true" followed by "cas.fulleditmode" before entering CAS), that way the sims will have the same houses.

So Lilith Vatore is giving me massive issues in my game. Namely, her skin and hair are white and red with a crazy looking question mark on her skin.

That's strange! I did download that but it wasn't originally working. But I checked again and I realized that I accidentally renamed it to a different format than .package so I redownloaded it again and this time it worked! Her family gallery picture still has the scary looking skin glitch though. I wonder if I can fix that.

 

Oh yeah and I forgot to ask you! When a child sim grows up naturally, will they keep the skin mod intact? Cause in my game Alexander Goth was already an adult so I used MCCC to age him up and he looked completely different from the one you made! He had dark brown skin and was bald. Which is definitely not what he looked like as a kid.

You could use MCCC to copy the looks, outfits etc. It'd be time consuming, but wouldn't wipe anything. Just have to remember to delete the extra household once you're done copying.

You can try fixing the family picture by going into CAS, saving the household to your gallery (folder w/ arrow icon), deleting the household w/ the glitched picture, and clicking the arrow button to continue your game. That should keep everything intact while getting rid of the creepy picture.

 

No, those skins are for children only. The way TS4 handles aging up is kinda weird. If you change anything from the preset, your sim could look really different, especially if you're using CC. This is why I considered aging up all the child sims  into teens, to prevent stuff like this happening, but I figured some people might like them as kids.

Okay, silly question: I downloaded most of the files and followed the instructions but the townies still have their default looks; what am I missing/doing wrong?

I'm not sure why but I've added the CC and Tray files for the Karaoke Legends, but they don't appear in the Library to download. The rest of the households (who look amazing btw) are fine.

I've tried re-installing all the files 3 times, but they just seem to want to hide from me. They are the only household I have this problem with. Everyone else from Goth through Jang is there.

Huh, that's really weird. Is anyone else having this problem? If so, I may need to upload a new zip folder.

Of all of them, Penny is probably my favourite. She has that glam she's supposed to have that Play-Doh Penny just doesn't. Even when she's making dinner.

Alexander Goth has a hairstyle that comes with the Vintage Glamour SP. If you don't have that SP, that hairstyle won't show up.

Although it sounds like a good idea, there's too many files to upload it all as one. It took me barely half an hour to replace all the households anyways.
