In case that something go bananaz, that how it should work - When you open an image, it plays and stops on the last frame, so please, let me now if something goes wrong or you cant load the images. ^_^
And so, let's not waste any more time explaining stuff, I hope you enjoy it. ^_^

And may the force serve you well ?

Damn this was brutal ?

That hole hand ripping of and creating a new one was hella epic and sametime just shocking ?

Also Vigilants got pretty much slaughtered as in the vanilla, pretty epic way to create that part of the game, and sametime they are vigilants who care about their death ?

Rather plot and combat heavy entry was this, but it was fun ?

Sidenote, inquisitor girl is pretty cute ❤️, but

Spoiler

Some horse dicks never hurt to her.

Great work ?

Yay ^_^ Thank you very much ^_^ I gald that this was hell epic ^_^
The whole idea about this slaughter was that we don't know for sure what happened there. So, I just made my guesses.

And yea, I know, there is always a place for a ol' good horsecock scene... not today, but you know me, will happen, eventyally ^_^
Thanks ^_^

Maybe we still need the gif category in Tirloques library after all. I like that you tried something new, but I don't think just adding bubbles is worth the effort. Most of the time they are so fast that you can't read them anyone and I'd prefer to keep it static.

On the other hand it looked good in the action scene. Maybe it's worth exploring the addition of special effects via gifs, but looping. So basically there's an image and you add a splashy effect on top of it and keep looping it so the effect gets reapplied. That might be interesting.

Great job nonetheless and some nice effects as usual!

Keep it up!

Woohoo! The red-sword-guy is back! ? (yes, I still ship him and Gwen ?)

Though I never particularly liked the Vigilants, that vampire attack really was merciless. And I love how you stayed true to the Vigil's characters - the moment something looks remotely daedric they grab their weapons without even trying to talk first. ?

The loss of the arm as well as the forging of a new gauntlet was bloody, brutal and extremely cool! ? Your special effects are becoming more and more epic with every entry (how is that even possible? ?)

The dialogues between Gwen and Abigail are just too amusing at times ("Let's pay an unfriendly visit to those suckers" ?) . Great job with those.

Overall - wonderful work and I'm really looking forward to more. ?

Absolutely agree on a first statement ;)

And on the second too... The bubbles itself doesn't worth the effort. Time consuming, looks wired. I can make them appears slower, but it will have significant impact on a gif size. Like x2 or even more. So yes, just as experiment and new experience.

And when you speak about the action, I assume you mean the "bite" scene, if that so - I would agree. Looks fine and pretty interesting. But about looping gif... If this is simple or already existing somewhere effects - that's fine. Just applying it on a pic is simple. But if you needed to create a complex effects with a good animation from scratch... Well... I don't know any fast method... But I guess we'll see ^_^ I ll at least try ^_^

Thank you very much, Alter ^_^ Glad you like it :)

More like:

Image A sth violent happens,

Image B the same screenshot but with some blood and a SLASH  or so.

Then you you loop them which may create some interesting looks and might fit your style very well.

Shipping with Gwen? Hmm, well... Anything can be dildo if you are brave enough.

Vigils are just bunch of zealous bandits with a frigile mental health:)

Glad you like the arm part ^_^ was heading to this from almost very beginning ^_^ actually SpyvsPie was a bit faster than me, so I guess credit goes to him ^_^

Well, I sometimes feel that my dialogues are like a bunch of clishes and movies quotes :D but thanks ^_^

Brutal entry ! Didn't expect the arm severing in front of the three death hounds ; yet I must admit it was excellently rendered in terms of effects and dramatization. Also liked the integration of the vigilants wiping-out into the story (which makes a lot of sense). As Alter said however, the duration of the gifs is too fast paced, and so prevents the reader from enjoying the image, even supposing he focuses on the bubbles to keep-up. Technically this is still a prowess, but I wonder if we aren't getting close to the limits of it. Yet between the fight, the arm severing and the effects (the hound biting Abigail's weapon for example), the entry beign SFW or not becomes irrelevant : we are entertained ! :D:thumbsup:

I wonder what @SpyVsPie would think about that. :classic_tongue:

Now, I could rebrand the GIFs category as "animated", but the question of how much of an being animated would be sufficient to prime over the basic nature (comic, subtitled, illustrated text) of the content would remain.

That being said, I think that GIFS aren't optimized for what you're trying to achieve. Technically, it wouldn't be much more difficult to create full fledged videos from your entries, hence giving you total control over the length of each vignette, and the possibility to add sound, with a final result such as this one :

And for that a simple still image to slideshow tool (such as Wax 2.0e) and then a mpeg4 compressor could do the trick. It's more work than a still comic though, but probably comparable (and simpler) than what you're doing currently with GIFs. Smiley_henri_gaud-belin_HFR.gif

In general, I that I will leave this trick for an action scenes. And ll get rid of this appearing bubbles, or at least will use it only when it will matters somehow. And yea, you are very right. Enjoying the image. The faster this happens, the less time we have to enjoy the picture itself. In all senses.

Totally agree about the optimization. Tho I can do this, but the loss in quality will be significant... =(
And I like your example, but you know... Enjoying the image it feels for me like we missing it here, or something else, I'm not sure for now ^_^
But is looks cool.

Each format has its pros and cons. As for the viewing time, the still images indeed do not limit it, while animated formats necessarily will. But that doesn't prevents from adjusting the durations. I think in fact regarding videos the obstacles would come from the sharing platform (adult only), and from the sound aspect (DRM free music only, same for sounds). But technically it's not that hard to do. And the time investment, as it would be yet another layer of work added over conception -> screenshooting -> comic layer -> video from the comic.

If you wanna keep the pro & cons of a comic, then keeping the gifs for moments where the moment of reading of the bubbles/vignette really increases the effect would be a good trade-off I think. Sure with a longer posing time the said gif will be large, but if it's 2 or 3x times per entry it shouldn't be too impactful on loading times. ?

Anyway, I'm still considering getting redesigning the library's categories ; but you have some time before that happens, and I'm not sure yet about the GIFs category. :classic_wink:
