Hey hey! Part 2 of Tammie and Luna's ongoing adventure! Well, not really ongoing, more like a flashback but whatever~ ?

I'm using a new image host for this story(ImgBB), so there shouldn't be anymore dead embedded images like with Imgur anymore! But do let me know if there are any issues!

But, and that's a very big but(literally), if you haven't seen the first part, I highly recommend taking a look at that first over Here!

And if you have seen part 1, click on the spoiler below to see part 2! Enjoy! ?

Of course, direct link to the album here: https://ibb.co/album/nEdTWF/?sort=date_desc&page=1(view by 'Most Recent')

I don't think ImgBB will show dead images here, but just in case.

Hope you guys have a nice weekend! See ya'll in part 3. ?

The other day I was going up that mountain and there were several troll on it, and for some reason, I kept thinking I had talked to someone about having a quest to kill a troll on that mountain. But I could not for the life of me think why I thought that.

Now I remember it was because of this comic :P

Great installment...

Tammie and Luna are fantastic cute and gorgeous duo. I adore them. :)

Love the way you presented the story and how any why Tammie made Luna half naked. Girls are hilarious.

Very good work. Had a good laugh reading discussion between them about clothing. Can't wait to see next episode.

P.S. I'm talking in my name: sometimes I have difficulty to understand which side to read after certain line; left or right because some things make no sense if I read the lines from the top left to down and go to the right side. Sometimes I read: left-right and still don't get it. I'm talking about the pictures with too many dialogue lines. Anyway, I'm not complain and I do not criticize you, just saying that the pleasure of reading great humor dialogues is gone because of the confusion. Will you be kind to tell me how to read the dialogues? Thanks. :)

Ah I knew this would cause problems eventually, with how much dialogue that happens.. ?

I'm thinking of indenting numbers at the start of dialogues, to dictate the order. The colors of dialogues will remain the same, to distinguish who's speaking. What do you think?

Excellent idea. Numbers will help. Thank you. That's what I do in my blog. :)

With respect towards Prince, I'm against it. Doing so breaks the immersion. The order of the dialogues should be the one matching the path of the eye on the image. Numbers are only a work-around in case you deliberately ignore that natural eye path, or in case you don't adjust the tails of the dialog bubbles to suggest that dialogue order. I'd suggest either decreasing the amount of dialogues per image + using natural eye path ; or using bubbles.

For my part, I know your order is left column top to bottom, then right column top to bottom. Smiley_jap_HFR.gif

While I usually do try to keep the normal flow top left>bottom left>top right>bottom right, I have to admit I'm a tad inconsistent with dialogue arrangement at times.

When there's not a lot of dialogue in the image, sometimes I go top left>right 1 step down>left 1 step down> so on... like a staircase kinda arrangement.

If I do that one picture and then follow it up with top left>bottom left>top right>bottom right, I understand it might confuse some readers.

I'll think about what I can do, and try to keep more consistency with texts from now on. But for when I have too much text I need to squeeze into one image, I might have to use a small number indentation to make it clearer like 1this and then have the next one like 2this.

I've always kind of used shadowing behind the text as a sort of 'bubble' so the words don't blend into the background, but I might have to see if there's a way for me to make easy-to-resize bubbles in photoshop.. ?

The things I don't like about numbers it that :

— The numbers aren't part of the dialogues. Thus they break the immersion, which was precisely one of the benefits of not using classic bubbles.

— The eye of the reader will still start going where it is naturally attracted. Thus start reading a bad line, realize there is the wrong number in front of it, and then search for the previous number. In terms of fluidity of reading, for me that's a fail.

— It then feels as if the author basically admitted he couldn't come with a natural layout

I noticed the background shadowing, it improves contrast indeed.

From there, bubbles wouldn't improve contrast. The advantage they do give is that you can sculpt their tails to improve text placement, and clear any doubt regarding dialogues' order. BUT you still have to respect the natural viewing order in the end. And you cant place too many bubbles tails as well. Resize isn't a problem in photoshop though, you have inbuilt bubble tools inside ; but it's more work to center the text and adjust the tails.

In the end, I think bubbles would be an improvement though, and they would force you to limit the text amount per image. But I believe the problem at hand is more on the reading order than bubbles vs shadowed text.

With all respect to @Tirloque ;) I support my Prince's wish and your idea. The way you have in plan to input those numbers is excellent. They are not big and yet still visible. Just like my named friend here, I have no problem with reading your stories, but my Prince does and I'm not always near him when he reads it. He really love your stories. We all do. :)
