Beauty and nudity

Ok, you got your bootstrap ready, now we can build the next layer.

For the next few things, let's think about: what is needed, so that sex will look good within the game?
- a nice looking player character
- handsome NPCs
- smooth animations

In this part we are going to naturalize the people by enhancing their birthday suit.

==================================================

The bodies
One of the main points that can turn you down is the unremovable underwear of the vanilla game. This will be changed first.

Male body
The male body basically is the easiest one to replace. SOS - Schlongs Of Skyrim is the mod of choice. It provides two versions:
- SOS Full 3.x - scripted, several types of schlongs, possibility of revealing armor
- SOS Light 1.04 - script-free thus more lightweight, only one type of schlong (choosable), no support for revealing armor

Both versions do provide support for flaccid and erected schlongs and will work equally fine within the SexLab setup. They both also provide textures on their own. A small downside is the fact, that the two versions need different textures, so a pack for SOS Full may not work with SOS Light. Consider this if you want to replace the provided textures.
They both work fine with the vanilla male armors, too, so there are no special replacers needed.

It just needs SKSE installed, which you already should have, then you just make your choices in its FOMOD and you are done.

Female body
The female body now is a different topic. Here you can have the full power over the shape of your female avatar and basically every female humanoid being all over Skyrim. BodySlide (BS) is the magic word.

The first problem is the separation of CBBE and UNP[/acronym. Those are two different systems of body replacers and they are incompatible.

Now, when installing BS, the choice must be made within its FOMOD: CBBE or Unified UNP?
This choice will tell you, what armors and textures you are able to use later on! When installing Unified UNP you only can use UNP variants but no CBBE anymore and the other way round!

Other than SOS, BS also doesn't provide textures for the bodies, so you have to find them yourself. Luckily, that's not difficult. NexusMods (Nexus Login required) provides many of them, one example is Demoniac.

Next thing to do: you must create meshes for the body and all armors you use. Therefore, BS needs "sliders" for the specific armor. Many custom armors provide these sliders by themselves, sometimes other people created the sliders for an armor. VERY IMPORTANT: you have again to check that you get the right body type, either CBBE or UUNP sliders.
For vanilla armors, those sliders can be found here: Original vanilla outfits UUNP - Skimpy Vanilla replacer UUNP | Original vanilla outfits CBBE - Skimpy vanilla replacer CBBE. Choose only one option for the body type you've installed.

If you want to install custom armors or armor sets, you always should look for related sliders for your body choice. After you installed every armor you want together with the right sliders, you have to create the meshes with BodySlide.
How to create the female meshes with BS

  1. Open BS within MO
  2. Empty the group filter and the outfit filter by clicking the two gray crossmarks of the two input fields in the top right corner
  3. From the "Preset" dropdown list, choose a body shape of your liking
    • To have an idea about how they will look ingame, click the button "Preview" at the bottom center.
    • If you use "zeroed sliders" as preset, you have the possibility to choose the shape of your character ingame with RaceMenu (recommended choice)
  4. Mark the checkbox "Build Morphs" on the bottom left
  5. Hold [CTRL] and left click on "Batch Build" on the bottom left
  6. Right click on the list that opens up and choose "Select All" and then click "Build"
  7. Search for your MO installation and find the folder "overwrite". Mark it and click "Select Folder" on the bottom right
  8. If then a window named "Choose outout set" pops up, you can select, if you want be able to let your body jiggle. To do so, select the HDT options whenever possible
  9. For the body itself, the "NeverNude" options will add unremovable underwear, the "Special" options add a physically deformable vagina
  10. After you've made your choices hit "OK" and wait until BS reports back.

If you need a more in-depth guide or pictures:

It's for the FO4 version though the main settings and mechanics remain the same

Creature bodies
Creature bodies are nearly as easy as the male bodies. You don't have to generate any meshes afterwards and the two big replacers both provide their own textures, too.

For female creatures there is Better Shaped Female Creatures (BSC). You just download the one main file, choose the options with the help of the pictures and you're good to go. Just let it overwrite anything but skeletons.

For male creatures there is More Nasty Critters (MNC). @MadMansGun also provides an Install Guide for MNC and SexLab.
Basically you download the latest version, install it and then you're good to go. MNC provides animations, too, but how to activate them will be explained later on. The meshes already are included when the installation is done.

Other resources
Now the birthday suit is given but still: those Skyrim characters aren't really beatiful.
For this, there are several other resources. Hair packs, eye textures, more brows ... the thing is, beauty is personal so I won't recommend anything special, I just tell you that many resources are found on the Nexus.

There exist several NPC overhauls, too, that beautify popular inhabitants of Skyrim. Many of them also are on the Nexus.
Just make sure that one NPC won't be altered by more than one replacer or else you may get the infamous Gray Face Bug. There is a bug fix but it uses the Creation Kit.

When you chose the resources, the NPCs that are replaced by packs will look better and within the RaceMenu you will have many more options for the related face part, eg hundreds of hairstyles.
And in the end, when the clothes are removed, the clothes ARE removed.
