SLSF Reloaded - Friends, Lovers, and "Forbidden" Fame
Overview
Starting in SLSF Reloaded version 2.8, you can define "Forbidden" fame categories for NPCs that you have a Friend or Lover relationship with. "Friends" are defined as NPCs with a relationship value of 1, 2, or 3. "Lovers" are defined as NPCs with a relationship value of 4 or higher.
When you mark a category as "Forbidden", the respective NPCs will be less likely to cause you to gain fame in that category via Periodic Fame. There is a chance your Friend or Lover will "Ignore" your forbidden setting and give you fame in that category anyway. By default, this chance is 50% for Friends and 25% for Lovers.
Additionally, the more fame you have in a category you've forbidden, the more likely your Friends and Lovers are to ignore that you've forbidden them from causing you to gain fame in that category. Friends will be 1% more likely to ignore your forbidden setting for every 2 fame you have in that category, and Lovers will be 1% more likely to ignore your forbidden setting for every 4 fame you have in that category - but only if you have 50 or more fame in that category (by default).
Examples:
If I set my Friends to not give me Exhibitionist fame, by default there is a 50% chance they will ignore that setting and give me exhibitionist fame anyways. If I have 30 Exhibitionist fame, they will have a 15% higher chance of giving me exhibitionist fame, for a total of 65%.
If I set my Lovers to not give me Exhibitionist fame, by default there is a 25% chance they will ignore that setting and give me exhibitionist fame anyways. If I have 30 Exhibitionist fame, they will still only have a 25% chance to give me exhibitionist fame, because I have not reached 50+ fame in that category. However, if my fame does reach 50 then they will have an additional 12% chance to give me exhibitionist fame, for a total of 37%. (50/4 = 12.5, which is then rounded down to 12)
You can customize the minimum fame level that will cause Friends and Lovers to start having increased odds of ignoring your forbidden fame settings.
Forbidden Fame and Sex with Friends/Lovers
Starting in version 2.8, if you have sex with a Friend or Lover, they will always respect your Forbidden Fame categories, and never give you fame in those categories as a result of having sex with them. Additionally, Friends and Lovers are no longer guaranteed to give you fame as a result of having sex with them. This ONLY applies to Fame from Sex, not Periodic Fame (see this post for more information).
Lovers will NEVER give you Slut or Whore fame as a result of having sex with them, even if you haven't forbidden them from doing so.
Important Notes
Forbidden Fame categories only apply to Friends and Lovers, which means the Periodic Fame check must have resulted in a Friend or Lover causing you to gain fame for it to be taken into account. (SLSF Reloaded gives you periodic fame based on the first NPC to succeed their roll, not how many succeed their roll. See the post linked above for more info.)
For example, if a Periodic Fame check happens, and there are two NPCs that can see the player - 1 Friend and 1 Neutral - then by default there is a 50% chance that the Friend will cause a fame gain, and a 75% chance that the neutral will cause a fame gain. If the Neutral NPCs is checked first and succeeds their roll, then the Friend will be skipped and the player's forbidden fame will not matter. Likewise, if the Friend is checked first but fails their roll, then the forbidden fame settings still won't matter. A Friend or Lover must be the first to succeed their periodic fame roll for your forbidden fame settings to matter.
With this in mind, the odds of Friends and Lovers ignoring your forbidden fame is based on two rolls - one for them to give you fame at all, and another for them to ignore your forbidden fame. Therefore, by default, the effective chance for a Friend to give you fame in a category you've forbidden is 25% (50% x 50% [0.5 x 0.5] = 25% [0.25]) and the effective chance for a Lover to give you fame in a category you've forbidden is 6% (25% x 25% [0.25 x 0.25] = 6% [6.25 rounded down]).
You can guarantee that Friends and/or Lovers will always respect your forbidden fame if you set the "Ignore" chance to 0% and disable the respective "Fame Increases Ignore Chance" toggles.
Lastly, regardless of these settings or any other settings, you will NEVER gain fame for a category that you don't qualify for. (IE: You'll never gain Bestiality fame if you never have sex with animals and if you don't have tattoos that make NPCs think that you have sex with animals.)
