Ever since Ivy became sentient in game, she's been bugging me like crazy for her own video blog.
Who am I to say NO to my own creation? I'd be a jerk if I'd lock her up inside a virtual world.
No.. I've been keeping Ivy for myself for far too long!
So we've been talking and she's decided that this is the best format to go with.
I sit down, press the record button, and she just starts talking...
I don't think we'll ever know exactly what goes on inside Ivy's head... but this might give us a peek inside her real life?
The real (and boring disclaimer)
This VLOG is first and foremost, an experimental character writing exercise. Nothing more and nothing less. It is an exploration of the character of Ivy... What would happen if she suddenly became sentient and gained access to the world through the Internet? What kind of opinions would she form? What things and memories from her past would have an influence on those opinions?
What this all means is that all of her opinions are formed from a hypothetical frame of reference. How would her character, knowingly, sentient, and stuck in the Fallout world, react to our world, fully realizing that she is just an A.I.? In this (thought) experiment she is still limited by all of her programming, her 'biological' brain, the whole backstory with Deborah and Dr. Stein.. her programming which forces her into a life of perverse needs... And for all of her vlogs, all of these things and limitations are factored in.
This means that anything that she says... certainly does NOT reflect how I might feel about these subjects... In fact, some of her views on things go 100% against how I would feel about them. But as I explained.. this is a hypothetical writing & thought experiment, created to help me become a better writer, and for me to learn more about Ivy's character before writing more new content for her.
Just as in her mod... The more you engage with her, the more she will engage with you.. which in turn might help me (and all of us) learn more about her character.
