Sorry, I'm still not watching the new Doctor. Chibnall wrote 3 of the worst Doctor Who episodes during Steven Moffit's run. I mean "The Power of Three", that was a fucking stupid episode. All this is, is an attempt to force Diversity into everything that hasn't had diversity.

A casting call sheet was sent out for the new Witcher Netflix show wanting a non-white actress for Ciri. If Ciri was written in the books as Black or Asian, then fine, cast her as that. But the books are based in an old Slovic type of world. Don't get me wrong, I go fucking bat-shit crazy for Asian women, but if it's not in the books, then don't make it into 21st century diversity. This Netflix show creator lied to all of us when she stated that she wouldn't change anything from the books because she was a huge fan. Bitch did nothing but lie to us from day one.

Are you arguing opinions or facts?

Just based on facts, Doctor Who has had diversity in it since it's renewal in 2005. I mean lesbian black companions, black companions, gay companions.. the works. Of all shows that had 'diversity' (as if that's a bad word haha) Doctor Who was the main show to show it on television. Not to mention all the Pakistani English people in the original show.

If we're still arguing facts... It has been established well inside canon since the 80's that Time Lords can (and often did) change gender after regenerating.

Having said those two things, none of your arguments hold up... (Doctor Who needed to force diversity.. < no it did so from day one, no changes there) and 'They turned her into a woman to force diversity' < Again, NO, because it was well established for over 30 years that time lords can and do sometimes switch gender.

It would have been silly for the Doctor NOT to regenerate into a woman at one point, it's a very unlikely statistic to have a time lord regenerate 14 times into a man when the statistics would say this is a 50/50 chance..

So having said all that, there's nothing left of your argument NOT to watch it.

Give it a chance. Jodie is hot and she's doing a great job, people are already comparing her all over the place with Tennant's run and that's not for nothing. She really does bring all that to the table.

If you're arguing facts.. nope those arguments are not on solid ground, honestly.. they sound like a rehash of most of the unthought facebook complaints I see that when analyzed like I did above, simply don't hold up to scrutiny or logic.

It's my personal opinion. Wasn't starting an argument, just stating my opinion on why I won't watch it. It's not fully the female, it's Chibnall I also have a problem with. The companions I didn't mind, some of the actresses that played as certain companions I didn't care for. Catherine Tate is the top of my dislike list, her voice was so grating on my nerves, and the one who played Bill. I didn't care for her acting ability, something was off to me.

I knew that Time Lords could change gender, that was also stated during Tennant IIRC. Hell, The Master turned into Missy. To me, they could have waited longer for the first female. Doing now looks and acts forced upon. I'm not the only one stating it this way either. It works if it's a natural transition, not this knee-jerk reaction to what is going on in the world. 

The ratings were dropping after Matt Smith, not because of Peter's acting, but because of the jump back to an older looking Doctor. So, they are doing a knee-jerk reaction by saying "Ooo, let's put in the woman now, that'll boost the ratings!" BBC is getting as bad as Hollywood, and Lord help us all if everyone followed what Hollywood does.
