Should Child Mods be allowed on LL?

I was completely unaware that this civillized discussion was a smear campaign against myself, or the OP who had very little to say other than making the thread at the suggestion of a moderator to begin with. I never lead a charge against child mods, or suggested that they be removed, nor did I even condemn the creator of the mod.

 

I asked a simple question and provided my views on the subject. I never pointed any fingers, or named names, or shouted to the heavens for god (or any deity of your choice) to smite your ruin upon the mountain side. All I ever asked is 'would child mods suffer if nudity were removed/condemned. Nothing more. The logical choice would be to remove nudity and continue to keep child mods 'pg-13' for the safety of the mod/author/hosting site.

 

There are members here that parade ideals of freedom of expression and artistic licence. They claim that since it's portrayed in a digital medium, it can't be considered pornography, but these same people say that portraying acts of sex with these digital children would be too far. It's completely oxymoronic and contradictory to assert one IS pornography, and one IS NOT.

 

So to recap:

Do I want to see Child Mods removed from LL?

No.

Do I think Child Mods should be strictly non-nude only?

Yes.

 

Without trying to sound facetious, why is nudity so important to those who actively USE these Child Mods?

I allowed this thread to continue as I don't mind people having civil discussion on rules. At this point however it's looking to start devolving into a shouting match of whose right and whose wrong. As such this thread will now be closed.

 

Having read the thread thoroughly in keeping up with it's posts since the day the thread was posted, my opinion on the matter remains unchanged.

 

I do not care for such mods personally and agree with the disgust of them, however I do not push my personal tastes on others, and neither should anybody else. As such I have no problem with such mods being here within reason.

 

So long as the mods do not incorporate sex, they are fine to continue being here, this has been the rule for such mods for a long time now, and will continue to be the rule for the foreseeable future. If on the other hand, you notice a mod going against this, a screenshot of sex, or talk of using them with sex mods, then report it for prompt deletion, as that remains unwelcome as it always has.
