Fps dropping after a while

Hello everyone, i have a problem with my heavy modded skyrim, after 10 min or so of playing, my fps drops like crazy, i searched on the internet for solution but people always say it's a GPU temp problem, but i know it is not due do the fact that this problem happen to me every time i get back to skyrim with a lot of mods, i know i fixed it before but i don't remember how ( it's not hardware side i'm sure of that).

Like most of the people with problems on this thread, you have a zillion follower mods istalled.

You have a pahe patch for DD yet you do not seem to have any DD mods installed.

You have, for e.g., 4k tattoo packs. Unless you spend time staring at tattoos you will not notice the difference between 2 and 4k. That is true for most 2 and 4k files.

Like most of the people with problems on this thread, you have a zillion follower mods istalled.

-My load order is in the first post (i can't seem to get LOOT working today, i have an error when i try to use LOOT to sort my plugins)

- It goes from 50-60 to 30 and lower and lower until i hit 15-20 fps

-I do have DD assets and integration

-in my previous install i had the same mods and this problem, i did found the solution back then, i just don't remember what it was.

Your LOOT problem is one for the LOOT forum.

Until you get your load order sorted you aren't going to get far.

Just because you have had an FPS issue previously, it doesn't mean that the cause is the same this time.

Okay, so now we have an actual load order - notice the difference with the first one.

Assuming the slow down is still happening:

1. At what point does it occur - at start up, inside, outside, etc?

2. Does it eventually sort itself or does it go down and stay down?

3. Does it do it on a new game or just on saves?

 

Possible causes:

Stuff loading in the background - big graphics files or scripts.

 

Do you have save cleaner? You can see how many scripts are active with this. There are probably other ways to do it but I don't know any.

Ok so,

 

1 it happens after like 10 to 15 mins after playing, not when i change cell or anything, just after a certain time after lauching the game.

2 Well after it begins it drops more and more, sometimes the fps come back to 50-60 for like 3 sec and it go down again

3 I didn't tried a new save, it's actually doing it on my actual save since a day or 2

 

i do have save cleaner, i have 5738 active script on my actual save ( already cleaned it with SaveCleaner)

I have about 150 plug-ins at the moment. My character is level 74 or so. My Quicksave.ess is 21MB.

Save Cleaner (savetool.exe) gives:

Scripts 6890

ScriptInstances 165054

Active Scripts 12 (yes, 12)

I don't bother with frame rates myself but at the moment my game is running really well. The only issue is that saves, loads and transitions take forever to complete.

 

I noticed you use PSQ. I run that too and have noticed that cum inflation can produce a lot of script instances. My advice would be to turn it off in the MCM if you don't need it.

That's due to your skse co-save getting too bloated. The NIO Cleaner utility will clear the bloat and speed up load times.

 

Mathys, I noticed you don't have Devious Devices - Expansion. That may not help but it's worth a try if you haven't already. Plus Ragdolls can itself be an issue; the All-In-One HDT Skinned Mesh Physics Setup is a better alternative and doesn't require script stringing, which can hurt both FPS and cause crashes.

 

And yes, the cum inflation part of PSQ is horribly bugged. SexLab Inflation Framework is a better alternative if you must use it or other mods that involve cum inflation.

 

I don't claim any of these will help, but they might. Based on my own rather extensive, painfully-learned experiences with Skyrim modding. Plus there are other, non-mod based fixes like BethINI to make recommended and safe changes to the game's configuration files, SKSE utilities, the list goes on. We all must really like Skyrim to go through all this crap.

Most of your mods I have either never heard of or never used so I can't really make any specific recommendations. But if you haven't already, I would recommend following S.T.E.P. or one of the other guides to get your basic installation right before you start building on it.

Well i followed the basics like alocating more memory to the game and so on (from gamerpoets)

Looks like removing some follower did the trick for now, i will wait a bit before saying it's fixed
