My problem is quite straightforward. I have tried to port a mod called "Dwemer beards" from Oldrim to SE. The .esp is fine, the meshes have been successfully converted by Nif Optimizer and the beards appear fine ingame but... the game crashes after loading if the beards are to be displayed.

There are some .tri files in the meshes folder which, I suppose, are meant to indicate how the beards -some are far more complex than the vanilla ones - morph around the cheeks when the player uses the face sliders. I suspect they are the cause of the CTDs but I have no idea how to convert them. 

Does anybody know ?
