Unable to rehire Veronica.

As the title says, I'm unable to rehire Veronica. I first recruited her before getting to New Vegas. I go into town and have to fire her before I can see House. I return to 188 to try to rehire her and my only conversation options are:

"Wanna try out my new toy?"

[Hookup for sex]

"Nevermind."

As far as I can tell so far its only Veronica. ED-E rehired just fine, haven't found Raul's house to try rehiring him yet.

Have you tried using one of the new We-Couldn't-Figure-Out-How-to-Fix-This-Bug-Despite-Being-the-Game's-Developers-So-We-Had-to-Do-A-Workaround Companion Dismissal Terminals?

Yes. She didn't show up.

Try selecting her in the console. Then type in "disable" and "enable" (without quotes) without leaving the console. That helped me with some stuck NPCs.

 

If that doesn´t work, my second guess would be disabling the mods that add this:

 

"Wanna try out my new toy?"

On a sidenote, after seeing your LO, you might want to consider putting NSkies last. I used that one sometime ago (before i switched to the "superior" Project Reality) and it acted weird when not loaded last. As far as i can remember, it didnt break sexout, if that´s your concern.

I tried just having her wait and victor wouldn't let me in.

Default behaviour should be that vanilla companions wait automatically in front of the entrance, for when you enter the Lucky 38 the first time.

Does this problem persist, if you roll back to a save before you dismissed her? Another culprit for fucked up companions (among other things) can be auto- and quicksave. Try disabling that and use CASM for auto- and quicksaves instead. It helped me tremendously when encountering things like this.

I'm just gonna write her off as a loss this playthrough. I'm only regularly playing with Willow and JT, was just gonna send V to the Lucky 38 anyway. Its been too long since I lost her to do any bugchecking so I could only reproduce it by starting over.

This happens with some of the different multi-companion mods. Not being able to rehire her is odd though.. sounds like the same mod is probably to blame.

Not actually running a multi-companion mod this runthrough. I'm devoting my character to Willow this playthrough, RPing a wasteland romance. Only recruiting vanilla companions for assistance in troublesome areas then sending them home.
