ZeroListGram Posted March 3, 2018 Posted March 3, 2018 Hello. I'm using Requiem, which makes extensive changes to the vanilla races. There is this mod, which supposedly makes it possible to add custom meshes and textures to each race. The author of the mod also modified the heights of races. When it comes to Tes5Edit I'm pretty much a noob. I can clean .esps, and that's about it. I'd appreciate if someone more knowledgeable than me would look at these two mods and suggest something. I have several questions: 1. I'm not interested in the race edits of the mod, Requiem's handling of the races is just fine. Basically I just want to apply custom meshes and textures to the races, and nothing else. How should I go about this? Do I even need the above mod for that? 2. If I do, how do I either delete it's race edits or make Requiem win out / add Requiem's (and possibly a few of Requiem's add-ons) changes to it? In other words, how do I make this work with Requiem and keeping Requiem intact? 3. If adding custom meshes / textures to each individual race is possible without the mod above, how can I do that? Thanks in advance.
flutie Posted March 4, 2018 Posted March 4, 2018 if you just want to change meshes and textures in a custom race copy and paste female feet, body and hands (0 and 1 nifs) from C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\meshes\actors\character\character assets , or the appropriate mesh folder to the custom race mesh folder, should be same folder as char assets, or the previous actors or character folder. Same for the textures C:\Program Files (x86)\Steam\steamapps\common\Skyrim\Data\textures\actors\character\female, copy and paste to the custom race texture folder
ZeroListGram Posted March 4, 2018 Author Posted March 4, 2018 As I said, it's not really about custom races. It's about applying different meshes and textures to each of the in-game races (at least as far as I understood, the mod I linked is supposed to do that). So it's not about a custom race for the player (or for the NPCs necessarily), but about changing the "one size fits all" approach, so that each race would look different.
