Adding New Textures To Character Creation

I'm trying to replace some of the eyebrows from Looksmenu Customization Compendium. I made these in Photoshop, but, I'm not sure how to save them. I'm replacing the diffuse textures. I don't know how to replace the normal and s.dds. I replaced the Brow1_d.dds and it is not showing in game. Is it because I didn't save it right? Or do I need to add it in the CK first?

If you're simply replacing them, then you should use the same DDS compression that the texture you're replacing uses. iirc, diffuse textures with transparency need to be saved with BC3/DXT5.

I can't remember if the the photoshop DDS plugin can open BC5/ATI2(3Dc) DDS images or not, which is the DDS compression that the normal and specular maps use. If photoshop can't open them, GIMP, with its DDS plugin, can.

Thanks. I saved it again in the format Evan suggested and it worked. Going to have to read up on more of this to gain a better understanding.:classic_smile:
