So, see the update queued waiting - does it break F4SE?  Guessing it will, but not seen any news.

I never bother updating fallout 4 anymore. All the current updates are just creation club stuff generally. They will occasionally break mods that allow you to continue earning achievements in a modded game.

Well, I was going to start the game but received the usual message from F4SE that I am running a newer version of Fallout 4.

Go in to Steam and disable auto updates for FO4.  Only updates the game if you start it via Steam - starting via F4SE does not initiate a game update, so doesn't break anything.

I'll wait for the F4SE update and look then.

This is definitely the way to do it. If you don't already do this, you should. I got sick of fallout breaking my game and having to wait. Such a pain. At least F4SE is amazing about getting updates out quickly.

Great I planned to starting set up modded Fallout 4, but guess this will be happening later.

TBH, I'm probably not updating FO4 again until one of my must have mods requires a newer version than the 1-10-64 I'm currently running.  Probably lol...

Lol, I haven't updated FO4 or any of my mods since the initial Creation Club update. I get my gave working then i just ignore all updates for several months. then i stop playing for a few more months. Then i see a cool new mod, reupdate everything, make a new character, and rinse and repeat.

Lol I'm still on 1.9.4 thnx to someone posting the exe & other files needed for it on Reddit when CC 1st came out. Updates break F4SE until it gets updated too along with mods that re-enable achievements so I disabled auto-updates in Steam, put it in Offline mode whenever I wanna play it, changed 2 numbers in its appmanifest file, then launched it through F4SE & I never have to worry about updates again.

If you're not updating until F4SE and any relevant mods are updated and want to play until F4SE is updated don't forget to put Steam into OFFLINE mode before you start the game via your F4SE exe otherwise it'll just ignore your wishes and update when you try and play it anyway . That happened to me last time :classic_angry:

PS You just beat me to it Destroyah :classic_tongue:

This "pets" system is usable for the future modding or just exclusive to the creation club's junk?

I suppose Bethesba regularly breaks the game just to push micro transactions is why Fallout 4 isn't as intensely played or modded as Skyrim is.

Support for pets! They still haven't fixed the vanishing background mountains bug and the terrain still doesn't cast shadow like it does in Skyrim!

Ive got Steam in Offline mode and try and start the game via f4se_loader and it just gives me an error and won't launch the game . Anyone any ideas how to launch the game without updating please ? I tried launching with Steam in online mode on the last update and it automatically updated the game , but in offline mode it doesnt seem to want to run . It's acting like it still wants to update the game even though I have Steam in Offline mode and so wont go forward and launch the game .

EDIT - Nevermind , I got it to run by right clicking on f4se-loader and ' Run As Administrator ' even though Im using an admin account on the pc . Ive also made the desktop f4se shortcut an elevated shortcut now using Winaero ( freeware )  so no need for right clicking it anymore just in case someone else happens on the same problem .
