It's here, everyone. Nude Platinum Version 6.9.3!

Gym leaders Candice, Fantina, and Gardenia, as well as trainers Marley and Mira now have their nude sprites. We are nearing the end of the female sprites. We're in the homestretch of female battle sprites now! Though, there are still some sprites that need to be edited.

It's possible that some sprites, like the farm girl and lady, have problems in the game itself due to their sprites being too big. If someone could test the sprites out in-game, that would be massively appreciated. 

In the image below:

• Blue is for sprites that have been changed and are now perfect.
• Green is for unchanged sprites. Right now, it's only male sprites.
• Pink is for sprites that still need edits to be perfect. The specifications will be outlined in my next post.
• Red is for sprites with palette problems. Right now, it's just the members of the battle frontier. I will add them within the next few updates.

Specifications for the pink sprites:

• Socialite and Bertha need their sprites changed due to being female.
• Mira has a thing covering her chest.
• Bug catcher's legs still look a little strange to me.
• For Fantina, her second sprite isn't proportioned right. In the unchanged sprite, her boobs are bigger, and her waist is smaller. In addition, her legs could use a little work, but not much.
• I'm on the fence whether or not I want Gardenia's iconic mini cape to be removed.

Oops I just realized that I edited the old sprites, I already solved it and edited and fixed some things.

I will say, this is one of the reasons I wanted to do it. If you don't mind, I'd like to provide some notes.

These are chibi sprites. You're trying to convey too much information when everything should be smaller.

I think you added a color somewhere in there, so be careful.

Art direction and keeping a similar style is key. We shouldn't be drastically changing how these games look.

The edits should be pretty simple.

Also, contrary to what a lot of the internet likes to do, Dawn isn't very busy, and this definitely portrayed her as that

 

Even though I'm not directly doing the art, I still care for the project and want to make sure it turns out its best.

It's all good. Maybe we can reuse the busty sprites for the characters that have bigger boobs, like Fantina and Dahlia.

I know that most of the overworld sprites will look basically identical since we can't use a bunch of detail on them, so some variety in how the sprites look can be good.

No worries. Art direction can be difficult to match. If you're ever stuck, remember, this game is being displayed on a Nintendo DS. You only need to display what's necessary.

And, sorry if I come on too harsh. I tend to do that a lot 😅 

For what it's worth, I do really like your sprite work from other things. You're a very talented artist. I really want to make sure that the game stays true to vanilla while being nude. It's a tough balance to make.

I'm sorry if I'm being really particular on Dawn's overworld sprites. I just want those to be perfect because, if the player picks Dawn at the start, they will be seeing those sprites every time they are not in a battle. The overworld sprites are really hard to make perfect because they are so small. Sorry if I came off as too rough, I just really care about this project and want it to be the best it can be. Please keep working on the sprites.

Once I make enough progress on the dialogue mod like up until getting the first Gym Badge is when I would release the first version of the mod for each game.

Yes, each game. Since no one else seems to have done it yet (aside for Sword/Shield), I am planning on doing dialogue edits for each generation as I can.

Although I'm less likely to do it for Gen 4 and 5 because I have yet to grasp how to mod/hack DS games, the decomp project for Gen 4 have files formatted in a way that still require fanmade tools to edit them, and that's likely going to be the same case for Gen 5 if it ever gets decompiled. Also Gen 9 lacks any nude mods so less motivation there.

 

I like to have each generation have its own little narrative of why the player character is naked.

For example, what I demonstrated with Ruby/Sapphire/Emerald is that, because you start the game by moving in to your new house, May was forced to sell away her clothes by her mother so they can move to Hoenn and she would have to get used to her new life as a nudist.

I know it's silly, but then again, so would be streaking across an entire region.

 

Another example is that aforementioned dialogue mod for Sword/Shield implies that Gloria has always been a nudist since she was born, with an aversion for wearing clothes. Though one could suspect she's more of an exhibitionist than a naturist since, because Gym battles in this game take place in large stadiums that get broadcast live on national television and online, she lets herself be seen by a huge crowd so she must be having the best time of her life.

Seriously, Sw/Sh has a great scenario for exhibitionist protagonists and that mod does reflect this as NPCs would recognise you as that "Nudist Gym Challenger".

 

I've also did some work already for Gen 1 and Gen 2, and I should also mention that I do nude edits for sprites in these early games as well including for Gen 3.

 

 

I do have interest in doing nude mods and NPC reactions for both genders of the player character.

The newer games from Gen 6 even have this text formatting function that allows me to change text on the same line depending on your character's gender so NPCs could even react differently if you're a boy or a girl without having to make a separate version of the mod, which I would have to for the earlier games.

The romhacks with most of those nude sprites and dialogue edits can't be found anywhere because I haven't released them yet.

I was thinking of releasing them simultaneously once I finish editing every content up until each game's first gym. (I have for Pokemon Red so far.)

 

But then I got busy with other things such as the nudity reactions mod for Legends: Arceus since I was so excited that someone finally made a nude mod for it.

Then there's a couple other mods that I had to update, got into 3D modelling, and now I'm trying to balance my life from NSFW stuff.

 

I'm sorry it's been so long, time goes way too quick than we would've liked.

I would like to catch up on finishing my mods but I can only do them when my mind is in the mood for it, but right now I'm unfortunately busy.

Nude Platinum 6.9.4 is finally here and the Battle Frontier girls have finally been added. (Argenta in particular gave me a lot of trouble.)

Next update will add some overworld sprites, unless someone wants to make edits to the pink sprites below.

Also, thank you all for playing my hack. I looked at version 6.9.3 and saw that 109 people downloaded it. That is absurd. Thank you so much for caring about this little project.

Also, I still need someone to remove Dawn's bag in all of her overworld sprites. After that, she'll be good enough to add in. @enamelbag, @msrio, @SpiralXol do you think one of you could handle that?

That looks great so far! The way the butt and boobs jut out like that in the side sprite is so cool. If you can, make sure that it could look like the nude sprite could fit within the original sprite. (Like, don't spread the legs when they are closer together in the original.)

And I see that you have found the page on Spriter's Resource based on the backgrounds. Make sure you don't forget the gym leader page here:

For some reason, these important trainers get their own sheet.

Also, Cynthia already has her overworld sprites in the ROM. (She was added when her battle sprites were first being made.) So, you don't need to change her sprites if you don't want to.
