Sims 4 performance with a lot of mods and ww

I have really gone overboard this time with mods, i installed a lot of cas cc and a lot of gameplay mods (wickedwims with autonomy, basemental drugs, careers, road to fame, extreme violence, sorcerer and vampire mods etc)

I noticed a big decrease in performance, time goes slow, sometimes sims don't respond to command or take forever to do stuff, sometimes the clock goes backwards. It's starting to remind me of sims 3 :(.

So in your experience what are the mods that affect performance the most, any advice or setting that improve performance? Is that simulation lag fix mod worth getting?

If experiencing slow load and lag etc, it maybe time to thin the folder down a little

Use the tray exporter to save and export all lots and families cc, then you'll have a folder of things you'll need to keep while filtering out the stuff your not using

^^Exactly what R-Lo said, you have conflicting game mods doing this or some CC that is interfering with your game. I know how this goes. I used to have almost 20 gig of CC and my game dragged along. One habit I have gotten into lately is every time I delete anything from the game, whether it be a mod, cc or lot..I delete the localthumbcache.package. The game regenerates a fresh one and it fixes a lot of issues from sims standing idle to game crashes. You need to get rid of old clothes. This was an issue for me as well because for some reason clothes made pre-gender tags would lag my game up. I had to go into S4S and update them manually. Also, speaking of S4S, disabling your CC for randoms/aliens will also help with the lag. Finally, merging your CC into one big package will help also. That will be something you want to look into extensively though. I have started doing it with things I absolutely know doesn't conflict with other things or are broken.

Hope that all helps in some way <3

Is really normal, it happens to me too. One thing that you can do is to compress various package files into one using the Sims 4 package editor. This helps me a lot with TS3. I'm not sure it will do the same for TS4, but you can try, but before always be sure to make a copy of all your content, don't make my mistake (compress all and delete the individual files, genius...) Also, delete content that you really don't use or is broken.

Yeah. I just did this and the game runs alot better than before. I've kept my old bloated folder as well though, figure I'll still use that for CAS and posing and making picture sets and such, and then keep around another mod folder that I actually use for playing the game with whatever is necessary for the sims I'm currently using.

Noir! when you going to rig your penis's to the bones please? Thank you and great work ^_^

I'm on it. You can visit my patreon page for seeing my works in progress, is visible for all. I'm anxious to finish but I'm doing extra changes in addition to the rig. I don't want to rush and do all wrong.
