Lodakai Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Well my list isn't really lolicon but, here are the ones i like.. just to start a discussion. Although I'm not really into loli so much, this was the only manga anime related club so far hehe. 1: Oregeiru - I'd put Toredora first, but I just really relate to Hachiman. Disappointed no12 missed release date =(( 2: Toradora 3: Clannad 4: Zero no Tsukaima 5: Spice and Wolf 6: Golden Time 7: Durara 8: SAO 9: Kokoro Connect 10: Haganai - i really wish they would add more seasons to the Anime. Hate cliffhangers and I'm not sure I want to get into the manga because... Spoiler I was shipping for Yozora =p My list is always changing.. I'm sure yours is too. This is just my snapshot I can think of right now.
PsychoMachina Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 Loli may be the theme of this club, all types of anime and manga are welcomed with the exception of ecchi and guro. Here is my list, not exactly 10. 1. Robotech (got me hooked on anime). 2. Dance in the Vampire Bund. 3. Ah My Goddess. 4. Chobits. 5. xxxholic. 6. Heaven's Lost Property. 7. Sekirei. 8. Negima 9. One-Punch Man. 10. Konohana Kitan. 11. Rosario Vampire 12. Monster Musume. 13. One Piece. 14. Ghost Hunt.
Lodakai Posted November 19, 2017 Author Posted November 19, 2017 Robotech was my first one too =) I remember getting up at 5 am just to watch it before school. Watched macross a long time later... fairly close how they ported it. Rosario was another good one... I watched a few episodes of one piece as well, kinda reminds me of fairy tale a little.. hope I got the time to watch some more of it.
PsychoMachina Posted November 19, 2017 Posted November 19, 2017 For me it was Saturday, early afternoon, watching Robotech, Speed Racer, an anime about a space battleship (looked exactly like a naval battleship) the name escapes me, followed by a Godzilla or martial arts movie.
Marieonette Posted November 20, 2017 Posted November 20, 2017 Alright here's my list : 1. Code Geass and R2 2. Gundam X 3. 8th MS Team ( OVA but still ) 4. Gundam 00 5. Aldnoah Zero ( mostly cause of music) 6. Every decent anime with lots and losta lolis... Spoiler Come get me FBI 7. Plastic Memories 8. Sakurasou no pet no kanojo 9. Hellsing Ultimate 10. All digimons 11-15. Lots of anime that i forgot but probably has the MC being a giant robot pilot or the MC dying at the end.

Does it happen to be Space Battleship Yamato you're talking about?

Eh nvm that, Space Battleship Yamato was the name of the show or movie i think but looks like we weren't thinking of the same show
PsychoMachina Posted November 21, 2017 Posted November 21, 2017 I just remembered the name of the show, Star Blazers, and the ship's name is Yamato. https://youtu.be/4vbRu_dEeOE You were correct, in Japan it was Space Battleship Yamato and Star Blazers in the U.S..

Wait they renamed it on the States??? Welp guess that is why most of the shows i watch back then have differing names to the ones people watch eventhough they were the same...

Welp guess that is why most of the shows i watch back then have differing names to the ones people watch eventhough they were the same... Sadly, that happened to a lot of the shows.. heck, some were even completely repackaged and changed around significantly for US consumption. Although in the end, it is still good that they were introduced in the first place. Today, we have a pretty healthy integration and interest between the markets. As a cultural exchange tool, anime and manga has really helped in enlightening me about some aspects of Japanese culture that I would have otherwise never known. Some of the better artists understand this and include many things such as historical facts, and even little details about what different prefectures are well known for. Since we really get little to no information about Asian history in american public schools, this was a good introduction to it in my case. I'll have to take a look at star blazers sometime.. never really seen it. It looks like a spinoff of macross/robotech from that youtube clip.
PsychoMachina Posted November 24, 2017 Posted November 24, 2017 Forgot to mention I also grew up watching Ultra Man which along with Robotech got me into the sci-fi genre. About Star Blazer. SPOILER ALERT - Story Summary (what I remember) Spoiler Earth was invaded by a humanoid race that breathed toxic gases and as a result the earth was in danger of being enveloped in that toxic gas. Earth's only hope was to get a special device that filtered the gases from the atmosphere. The crew of the Yamato was ordered to retrieve that device, but of course the alien race that invaded earth tried to stop them every chance they got during the journey. This is the basic plot of the show. I could be wrong.

I prefer the live action of Space Battleship Yamato (Star Blazers...) though, idk why though. Probably because that movie is what brought me to the space war genre...
myuhinny Posted December 3, 2017 Posted December 3, 2017 I never really watched any but later started watching DBZ and just recently started watching kill-la-kill I even just recently found a Ryuko model on deviant art that I ported part of it to my skyrim. Think I remember some others that I have watched before like big O. Spoiler
AshnurLegba Posted February 21, 2018 Posted February 21, 2018 Since I used PsychoMachina wonderfull work, AND that I like animes a lot too... here's my top 10 : (almost no loli's, since I'm not a huge loli fan at all, but good animes you can be assured! ^^) 1. Akira (A marvellous piece of art! It's on my top list for movies also!) 2. Berserk (first version only, not the fu***** cgi 2nd version!! T_T) 3. Ghost in the shell (anime movies only) (The complete plot of this piece of art is a masterpiece, a very nice overview of the humanity real identity) 4. Gintama (best fu***** comedy/fighting anime ever... "Maybe" better than FLCL on my opinion 5. Baccano! (so good, so fun, so disturbing! ^_^) 6. Monster (because I like this dark tale, this complex scenario a lot!) 7. Hajime No Ippo (sorry but even if it's about boxing, I like this anime a lot and I mean a LOT!) 8. One outs (once again I so much like the complex situations... this anime is about sport, baseball, and is soooo good also!) 9. Yōjo Senki: Saga of Tanya the Evil (maybe my only Loli anime in top ten, but a great great show! Gender-bender mixed with loli content in an seinen... Great!) 10. Paprika (movie) (one of the best thing I've ever seen! 10th here only, but trust me it's trully magical!) I hope you won't find my tastes too strange. From the "sweet" Paprika to the "hardcore" Berserk, from the simple Hajime, to the complex Monster.... (I'm a huge fan of Paprika, and the movies of Satoshi Kon, like Millenium actress. But it's hard to include this kind of anime/movies in this top. That's why I only included Paprika.) Cheers!

Awassi Posted July 26, 2018 Posted July 26, 2018 In no particular order: Tokyo Ghoul Gintama Akame ga Kill Overlord Konosuba Attack on Titian Berserk Kill la Kill Aldnoah Zero World Trigger (crappy characters aside)
PsychoMachina Posted July 31, 2018 Posted July 31, 2018 Does anyone know of any good, comedy anime? I don't care if it's full of fan-service or lacks a plot, as long as it funny and the characters are enjoyabe. I need something to brighten up an otherwise dismal month.
