I have not been able to try it though. I am having problems with Geck. I have tried saving my script and it corrects any errors and when finally done, it gives no response. If I reload the script at this point, it is my new script. But when I try to leave the Script Edit, it asks me to save again. If I say Yes, it stays on that page. The only way to Exit is to say no. If I say yes first and the say no, when I reload the script, it is back to the way it was when I started. If I Recompile All, my script goes back to what it was. What am I doing wrong? Any help with the code or using Geck would be appreciated!
fred200 Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 Please put code between "spoiler" tags - or have it as an attachment. Sounds like Geck thinks your source is read-only. Use an external editor like notepad++ to make your changes. Then bring up Geck, verify your change is in source, then use the menu option "compile".
Guest Posted October 31, 2017 Posted October 31, 2017 I have been using Notepad++. I know in skyrim and SkyrimSE that you had to unpack some Script file before you edit it manually. What do I have to do in Fallout NV? I'm working with Willow - A Better Companion Experience. There are no files other than meshes, textures and sound. The .esp file has the script in it. How can I edit that without FNVEdit or Geck? I installed "GECK 1 4 PowerUp for Fallout New Vegas -a fork" and it displays errors during startup and when compiling scripts. It lists one error. "Invalid reference 'WillowsWeaponsBoxREF' and that is no longer in the esp for version "NVWillow v1.10-41779-1-10". I may go back to an earlier version and see if I can find it, but I don't think it is necessary anymore. I think that is causing the saving issue. Thanks for your Help! I really appreciate it!

"Unknown variable or function 'fuNV2'. Both of these were lines that I copied from the other post. I couldn't find 'AWillowFuNV2' or 'fuNV2' in the esp so I just deleted that line and it saved. I saved the esp, closed and reopened Geck, and the script is correct now. I will go try it. I tried it and it worked. I don't get a response from Willow when we're done though. Maybe I should change 'Set Timer to 65' to 70 and see what happens. I'll try it again. I tried 63 and 70, but still no response. There must be something I'm missing. Also, I don't increase my XP for sex, not that it was supposed to, but it would be nice. Now I need to get the animations working. It seems some work and some don't. It is always the female that works. If I save and reload when she is working, then I start my animations too. I found that I had made a stupid error during installation. I installed Sexout-97-Stable--UPGRADE-FROM-96 and assumed it included the Data and Core, but it did not. As soon as I installed the SexoutNG - Core 2-10-97 and SexoutNG - Data 2-10-97 my animations started working again! Thanks again!
