i have been taking a look at shambler's trinkets and found something that i wondered if anybody has.

 

In the trinkets folder there is a "fivehime.entries.trinkets.json" and inside there is only 1 entry of a trinket that references the shambler but 3 more classes i have never seen. "Altria" "kolleen" and "ectoplasm"

 

Does anybody know what these classes are?

Already finished with Eyes and Guild Header, polishing, fixing testing...

By the way i already did a little rebalance of skills "in numbers" - not "completly", just a little, to same time "stay close to original author ideas" and "being more lore-friendly and capable in compare with other damage dealers")

Mostly for myself "in-game" taste of "lore fitting", ofcource, you free to edit/revamp it further as you want to yourself obviously)

I saw it, I already had this class, so I used original authors numbers as base, I didn't want to just buff the class base damage.

 

What I did is completely recoded all the vanilla effects, added effects to lacking skills and made class to have better synergy that is worth using.

There were lost of complaints on steam workshop about this class being weakest and some skills were not worth using, you'll see that with my changes

it's gonna be the opposite - everyone will want that 7 skills mod because all skills are strong (will be able to use this class in Sunward for example.)

It's gonna be my usual balance for Vanilla with some monster mods. I refuse to increase base damage tho, just did scaling refactor.

Also I looked at effects and everything, this is clearly dancer/debuffer and not a direct damage dealer so I will make it so.

 

Overall I went through everything, effects, buffs, trinkets, camping skills, just need to reformat and regenerate localization to make sure loc2 is generated

for the latest DD version and test it in game; will release it soon..

What was translated as "Ghost" in original actually means Oni or Demon, which I used interchangeably because it means the same thing but Fate wiki insists on "Oni"

which means "Demon" in JP so where it sounds better I used "Demon", hopefully it's not gonna be too confusing there are  tons of those in full .xml and "~Fufu"

(which means seductive laugh. I think, so I kept that.) Also dots, tons of dots (.. and ...) there were also massive dots (..............) which I've changed to (...)

Overall confusing to translate Chinese mod with tons of JP names, places and references.

 

I didn't use author's English translation at all, it was actually easier to just translate from scratch from Chinese.

I did use Fate Wiki for some of the skill names etc, (so those are actually gonna be kind of "official")

 

I will most likely not rebalance the class, just fix things that need fixing and add proper Guild Header and stuff.

I myself ofcource can do the same ("effects", "buffs", etc changes) since i know "how it works" from my previous expirience with digging inside "effects", "info", "buffs" and "trinkets" for some other classes, thank for original DD modding being super simple and intuitive here (everyone can easly learn about it just having common "Notepad") just usually dont want to spend time for this

Also as i mentioned - trying to save original author ideas most of the time, even when editing class (but mostly bcs laziness, ofcource :))

 

But your "list" for "Corsair" revamp sounds really cool, will gladly test her in-game if all will working fine :)

If your edits will give her "her own unique position|niche in party and roster" - will be very interesting, i alwayes love when everyone from my heroes is unique and special (especially since my own rule "1 class = 1 man only")

I agreed that "pure vanilla" is too weak, even in compare with HWM or GraveRobber for example, thats why i did just little lazy edits "to be playable at least")

So will watch for your revamp with interest))

 

By the way you may not to hurry - nothing wrong if you will relise it tomorrow, or even 1-2 dayes after, not need to rush it to "relise today")) Just enjoy the process and your time :). having self fun while doing those edits/modding is the main goal))

Corsair Class EX + Eye Skins

 Boring Wall-o-Text on my rebalance design thoughts, most people can just skip:

To be frank I had this class lying around for a long time and while it had very well done localization, barks and decent coding

it had several problems in viability. I mean it was so bad that fans of overbalanced bs. were complaining that it's "weak".

You know when class is weak if Workshop purists start to say it's not good enough for unmodded DD.

 

So I grabbed it myself and did a run with it and even with 7 skills enabled there was no reason to EVER use last two skills.

 

This can fixed ofc. by just buffing the crap out of those skills DMG mod, but then I've noticed something interesting about 

damage numbers in buffs, those were much closer to what you'd expect on an AOE skills, and, it already had the CD, which

means it will not be OP, I made Urn Push first 3 ranks back 1 rank and then Firecracker hits 234 ranks - and Firecracker

already had synergy with Urn but now those pathetic numbers make sense because both are AOE, I increased chance of actually

landing said synergy and voila now those two skills feel like they were always meant to work like this.

 

I made those two skills only usable from back ranks and made sure I changed other skill's movement to push Corsair there,

so you have options on how to play her and which skills to select if you don't use all skills mods.

 

 

Rebalance TL;DR:

-Cleaned effects, made effects standalone, made several new effects, where needed.

-Straightened and refactored overall scaling across effects and buffs.

-Fixed minor things, fixed SChinese localization.

Eyeless skins are included (A,B) SFW and NSFW

New skins with Eyes (C,D) SFW and NSFW.

To be frank I had this class lying around for a long time and while it had very well done localization, barks and decent coding

it had several problems in viability. I mean it was so bad that fans of overbalanced bs. were complaining that it's "weak".

You know when class is weak if Workshop purists start to say it's not good enough for unmodded DD.

 

So I grabbed it myself and did a run with it and even with 7 skills enabled there was no reason to EVER use last two skills.

 

This can fixed ofc. by just buffing the crap out of those skills DMG mod, but then I've noticed something interesting about 

damage numbers in buffs, those were much closer to what you'd expect on an AOE skills, and, it already had the CD, which

means it will not be OP, I made Urn Push first 3 ranks back 1 rank and then Firecracker hits 234 ranks - and Firecracker

already had synergy with Urn but now those pathetic numbers make sense because both are AOE, I increased chance of actually

landing said synergy and voila now those two skills feel like they were always meant to work like this.

 

I made those two skills only usable from back ranks and made sure I changed other skill's movement to push Corsair there,

so you have options on how to play her and which skills to select if you don't use all skills mods.

If "in nutshell" - most changes for skills are in few words "better chances for all debuffs/effects, slightly more damage (especially for her bleed-version of "Point Blank Shot") and "combo of oil + crack (6+7 skills)" is now aoe", right?

 

Also - those "armor" skins (from "highwayman" as i understand) looks pretty cool, are they from some skin, or those are just standalone NSFW random armor models, without skin for them?

There are a lot more changes, I already did two spoilers of text didn't want to write an essay, I did changes to buffs, effects. 

There are launch position changes for some skills and how much they move her, I don't really remember absolutely everything.

Info.darkest has annotations and you can compare to the original if you really want to know. 

 

I also coded every effect that was taken initially from Vanilla DD effects file and I changed base chances of those because

lots of monster mods and expansion mods have all mobs have ludicrous debuff resists, move resists etc. and if skills rely on synergies

to do more damage it's just not fun to not land anything and get no debuffs landed especially considering Urn skill have CD and if you 

miss it - it's a shit skill with -95% dmg, so even an AOE not going to save it; cure to that is making sure Push and Debuffs land and you never 

going to land a Debuff/Push on monster with 80%+ Debuff/Move resist with amazing Vanilla "Push 1A-1E" (100-140%) and "Disorient 1-5" (100-140%) effects.

 

It's also very lazy to make a class mod and use base.effects files imho. Not only that, there are borderline cases (which I will not gonna write

about for another wall of text,) when having several mods using same base.effects just crashes the game.

Generally all Effects and Buffs need to be written for every class from scratch and that is what I did for this one.

 

"Armor Icons" are from, I think, "lusty outfits", it's on Nexus.

I decided to not use whole folder, just "patched/matched" with some of your edits and good ideas (in "effects" and "skills" mostly), something like "mixing best from both versions (mine edit and your edit)" for myself in-game usage for my own "lore taste" fit, hope you will be fine with that "partly usage" ;))

Few ideas by the way were really good (with "1000 Cuts" for example, pretty simple in fact "just add little additional bleed", but i myself didnt do that for it on my own, good catch)

You can do whatever you want with all rebalances I do, it's not like I made a mod in a first place. 

I just hope none of the original authors will hate us for remaking their mods into whatever we feel like.

Initially I was on the fence to ever sharing anything I've done for myself or my friend because it's all mash of other people's work.

But the same friend convinced me that I should because she thinks it would be a waste otherwise.

 

I doubt those particular effects were not attached because of laziness. It's another syndrome I call "overbalancing";

some people balance their own pretty good mods into oblivion making them less fun. In the end of the day if those

Workshop purist weirdos really want their "vanilla experience" they should just use vanilla classes and stfu.

 

Custom classes must be fun with tons of effects and things that vanilla classes don't have.

The way to balance is to keep damage/hp/dodge etc. low proportionally to amount of effects and buffs you add to a class.

Laziness was in using base.effects, that takes two minutes to rewrite the effect and I can't understand why not?

 

As to the class itself, as well as her other classes, Shay does a great job on writing, design, lore etc.

(unlike me with my zero imagination and strictly mathematical approach to everything, she is an artist)

There is no doubt that all classes made by Shay are very well made,

I think this particular one was just hit by "overbalancing" syndrome the hardest.

Any way "we have what we have", but since we any way able to "balance" it for our own in-game tastes - "it is fine") Good that we have pretty cool "core mod" to work with - thats what matter)

I usually looking on that from this position - 

 

"1.Someone shared whatever mod/skin anywhere in public access, i was able to download it,

2.If i will use it in my own game it will be fine, no doubts about that i guess - since i already have this one "for my own usage"

3.If i will have skills/knowledges and be able to edit some sprites/strings in files myself and use those "edited/expanded version" in my own game - no doubtes about that either, i guess - who cares about what and how i using in my own game? It is almost same as in "P.2" any way

 

But what if i just shared that "edition" with people, who just wants to play with the same edit/idea "in their own game", but unable to do that themself bcs lack of time or skill?

I finding nothing wrong here - in fact all people will be able easly "study to do the same edit as i did myself" if they will really want to and will have enough time and wish, and this will automatically pull them into the "P.3" ("own edit for their own game"), i just allowing them to "skip that part of learning and doing themself" bcs im not greedy and dont mind about "why not to share for other people so they will be able to have fun too, if it is cost for me nothing" :))

 

Also - wrong here will be if i will say "this is my own work/creation", and will make some profits from it (whatever it will be - money or popularity)

But if i give all kudos for original authors and giving all links on them, and even not bothering about popularity (not even talking about "money") - not seeing anything wrong here, it is actually giving more popularity for original authors))

 

Also im alwayes truly respecting and admiring original authors works and arts - without them here will be no opportunity both for "having that staff in-game", and for "editing that further"

By the way it is not "i trying to justify myself" - it is my true pure position about original authors and respecting their originals, mostly just bcs i dont care about possible consequences  - bcs even in WORST case scenario what just can happen here?

If some original authors just will do STRAIGHT hard request and ask for me to delete edit of their work - no problems, just 1 click and "it is gonzo", and i still be able to use whatever i will want and how i will want in my own game, just without "public share"

Even if "profile will be perma baned" - who cares anyway :)

The Exanimate is an icon of suffering, writ in flesh. Having transcended her mortality she is able to rebound from even the most grievous of wounds. With a myriad of healing abilities she will endure whatever punishments the estate may throw at her and her allies.

 

Her apotheosis comes at a price however, for at night she is haunted by Death herself, seeking to claim her elusive quarry. (edited from steam)

By the way - i right now have only 2 "leftovers" classes in my game which will be 100% reskined but without already decided reskins for them, all other are "in working queue" with already decided reskin variants)

So - i guess will be nothing wrong to make some "collective brainstorm", just in case if someone will suddenly suggest outstanding and fitting variant for those which i didnt check/find/spot myself yet

Dont be shy to suggest any fitting skin ideas, may be exacly your one will become an amazing reskin for those classes ;)

Also - if any reskins for those classes already exist and i just didnt find them myself - link on it will be super cool too

So - i guess will be nothing wrong to make some "collective brainstorm", just in case if someone will suddenly suggest outstanding and fitting variant for those which i didnt check/find/spot myself yet

I am most definetly bias because Ringmaster is my fav behind the Wayne June voice actor. She takes the spotlight simply for her design and personality. So Differently suggest maybe the "boss" or "latex:" tags because i could image that version of her. Not sure how that would work but just my thoughts.

In regards to the krakenslayer i have no opinion on that because she never clicked with me.
