kboom Posted October 2, 2017 Posted October 2, 2017 Hi guys, does anyone know the efficient way to convert non HDT to HDT without clipping but still keep the armor mesh skin tight? I try the bodyslide copy selected bone weight to the armor but it clips around the breast area, if i inflate the armor mesh it kinda fix but the it's not skin tight anymore and the mesh is kinda "bad". Thank you!
shadow866 Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 There is no easy way to fix clipping for armors. Obviously if you want it skintight its going to be more work. If the vertices count is low on an armor its even harder to fix it. If lucky the vertices count is high then its possible to fix but also takes more time. You have to manual go through every single slider in bodyslide and fix whatever clipping that show up. Turn off textures and it will be easier to spot clippings. The more advanced way is to manual weight painting. But thats very time consuming and requires some knowledge how to properly weight an armor. And there are a million different animations out there as well that all have different movement and positions so its very hard to make an armor 100% clip free.
Andy14 Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Before you copy bones, you should delete old bones/skin from the mesh. Then copy Bones from your HDT Body Reference. If necessary - afterwards bones scaling and manually skin weighting.

shadow866 Posted October 3, 2017 Posted October 3, 2017 Going into the bone tab and selecting every bone from the skeleton. Then go back to the normal tab. And press Copy selected weights for each armors part. That should have the same effect as overwriting the old weights(like tbbp) with the new weights(like HDT) from your reference body. This guide should help you answer some questions about outfitstudio if you got any, https://github.com/ousnius/BodySlide-and-Outfit-Studio/wiki/Guides-and-Documentation

In Outfit Studio: Select the Mesh (Armor) -> Switch to Bones Tab -> Select All Bones (Shift+Click) -> Right Click and click "Delete From Selected Shapes". Afterwards you can Copy Bone Weights from your Bodyshape.
