« Broken ‡ Mirror » Posted February 21, 2013 Posted February 21, 2013 I can't seem to find the download link for the yaksha race. Was it removed again? Or am I really just that blind? "1359474569">I've disabled the Yaksha Revamp because something has gone quite awry with the patch script. So to move things along quicker, I'm just going to rebuild it with all new scripts. I have a few things going at once here, so it may be a few days. Sorry for the delay.Trykz There you go~ Ahh thought I saw somewhere him saying it was reuploaded as he fixed it. Guess it was just a misread. Thanks for pointing that out. Welcome!

Ah yes, there was a hitch in the creation in that sometimes the powers never showed up. So Trykz made a few potions located in inns around Skyrim. Just look for blue potion bottles on shelves in the inns and it'll be labeled for you. Just drink the potion and the powers should be activated by night or in 24hrs or so.
XxFallenSpiritxX Posted February 23, 2013 Posted February 23, 2013 I just tried to install the Daedric elves and, even after disabling all the mods, Skyrim still crashed. The only thing running that I can't really turn off is SKSE, but i wouldn't think that'd interfere with a race mod.

The only thing running that I can't really turn off is SKSE, but i wouldn't think that'd interfere with a race mod. It won't. Did you unpack the BSA to replace the body or something? What you're describing sounds like either a missing mesh, or you don't have the proper BBP files installed. ALL of my races use BBP. So if you don't have a BBP body installed, the game will crash every time you try to load the race. Trykz
moonwolf3 Posted February 25, 2013 Posted February 25, 2013 About the Daywalker race does the race acually show up in character creation cause i have installed .. or so I think yet it does not show up like moonshadow or the demoness races
Trykz Posted March 10, 2013 Author Posted March 10, 2013 About the Daywalker race does the race acually show up in character creation cause i have installed .. or so I think yet it does not show up like moonshadow or the demoness races Yes. You have something installed wrong, or the .esp needs to be activated. Added another race to the third post. Just a little something to pass the time while I finish up Valley of the Broken Trykz
« Broken ‡ Mirror » Posted March 10, 2013 Posted March 10, 2013 Dang, only 11.4 MB. Well downloading now to check it out! Will post pics later Btw, really loving the Warforged troll
Trykz Posted March 10, 2013 Author Posted March 10, 2013 Dang, only 11.4 MB. Well downloading now to check it out! Will post pics later Btw, really loving the Warforged troll Glad you like it I added a spoiler to the post, which details what body parts to use and where to place them, for those who want to use a different body type. The race uses whatever head mesh your vanilla Nord race uses, as well as whatever body and head textures your vanilla races use. However, this race uses an included body normal map in the custom texture path for the race for a more athletically defined body. It also makes use of a lot of additional customizations you may already have installed. Such as makeup, warpaints, etc.. I suspect that once Skyrim 1.9 is released, this race will fall right into place in the Legendary gameplay at max difficulty settings. Trykz
« Broken ‡ Mirror » Posted March 11, 2013 Posted March 11, 2013 Here you go~ A male Warforged His name is Aragaen. Didn't really mess around much with the creation. Just chose one of the presets and changed some details to my liking Cleric armor doesn't really fit, but I doubt the Drakul armor would look any better. Must find some more male armors now--Next weekend that is... btw, love his body. Wished I was like that too. But, I'm stuck with a more lean and toned body -.-
Guest Posted March 17, 2013 Posted March 17, 2013 Hi, first of all sorry for my english, not main language. I'm playing with your Nidia Race and I found many issues with dawnguard and better vampires and I'm using the vampire esp. For example I became a vampire but I didnt get the resist disease, so I keep contracting Sanguinare when i fight vampires. Also feeding is not counting for the Better Vampires ranks, I think feed is doing nothing but the animation because I'm never starving :/ Help plz?
moonwolf3 Posted March 29, 2013 Posted March 29, 2013 Is there a way to get my custom body on the moonshadow race i use CBBE and i was just curious. Also i took both potions the NV and the other one. is that an issue?
Trykz Posted April 1, 2013 Author Posted April 1, 2013 Is there a way to get my custom body on the moonshadow race i use CBBE and i was just curious. Also i took both potions the NV and the other one. is that an issue? Sorry for the delayed reply: but the potions are merely "spells in a bottle". With the last spell used adding the final effect. The NV potion is basically the same, but with reduced buff effects and the ghost effect removed. edit: if you're not familiar with the Skyrim data folder structure and how BSA files work, I wouldn't advise trying a body swap until you are. It's not overly complicated, but doing it wrong can create quite a few problems. Trykz
leonis55 Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 does the night elf and guardian race come with its own custom follower as well? The only one I included a follower with is The Demoness. Followers are generally easy to make. There's a bunch of YouTube tutorials that detail the process, and you can learn the basics from the one on the CK website. It only gets complicated when you start adding custom hair and other customization options to them. Hehe, tell me about it. Speaking of which, I made another standalone follower from the Guardians race. Vyrana Posted these on the Nexus: Feels good showing off your races there. what skin mod in images
leonis55 Posted April 5, 2013 Posted April 5, 2013 i downloaded the frost eleves and the skin is all shiny and just horrible (what skin mod u used lol)
Trykz Posted April 7, 2013 Author Posted April 7, 2013 i downloaded the frost eleves and the skin is all shiny and just horrible (what skin mod u used lol) You did something wrong, or your comp can't handle the textures. Sorry. In other news, my own primary modding rig blew up Just as well, perhaps. It was getting to be pretty dated. So I'm in the midst of building a whole new rig. When that's finished, I'll be getting back to looking into finally resolving the RaceCompatibility issue once and for all. I'm growing extremely tired of rebuilding every one of my mods whenever Bethesda gets an itch to add something or change critical files that screw with scripts. I've never liked using RaceCompatibility, because it isn't consistent or reliable, and likely never will be. I'm thinking I may build ALL of my current races into a single master BSA, with a custom race .esm that can be used to better facilitate making followers, and expanding Skyrim's overall population (I should be able to add races to and update the BSA and ESM files without touching the individual race esps). Then users can pick and choose the races they want to use from a list of .esp files with the races they want, or simply make a follower without actually having to use the playable race. The downside of all this is that they may not play nice with races created by other modders, because they'll likely be using one of the RaceCompatibility files on Nexus. We'll see. Trykz

Have fun building your rig. It's one of the most enjoyable things out there. And I use vanilla races and your races only anyway so no problem for me there
Mistle Posted April 8, 2013 Posted April 8, 2013 hi :3 um I have a question about a lot of your races, I use ADEC+TBBP body and really like the animations associated with it is there a way to add that body and skeleton to a few of your races? (I hate asking this because I feel like I am down playing peoples work and I am not >.<) also with the latest Race compatibility that has dawn guard support do I still need to follow the vamp instructions? sry if any of this was asked before . ty
Trykz Posted April 9, 2013 Author Posted April 9, 2013 hi :3 um I have a question about a lot of your races, I use ADEC+TBBP body and really like the animations associated with it is there a way to add that body and skeleton to a few of your races? (I hate asking this because I feel like I am down playing peoples work and I am not >.<) also with the latest Race compatibility that has dawn guard support do I still need to follow the vamp instructions? sry if any of this was asked before . ty Actually, I'm in the midst of adding that body to my new method of building races. Since I probably said too much, I *think* I may have resolved the RaceCompatibility issue once and for all...... as in, it may no longer be needed for custom races. I couldn't wait to get my new modding rig built to run a few tests, so I fired up my laptop and put together an entirely new method of building races. After an afternoon of testing out a brand new race built under this method (without ANY RaceCompatibility files installed), I was pretty pleased with the results. See if you agree: As you can see, the race is fully capable of using any and all customization options. Hairs, eyes, eyebrows, tintmasks, scars..... everything works. But this isn't the end of my testing by a longshot. I still need to make sure it will play nice when I load multiples of my races. So I need to build another race (or rebuild an existing). I also need to test vampire and werewolf transformations. Werewolf isn't usually an issue, but vampire transformation handling is a royal pain in the ass. As long as I don't have any head part conflict issues, the vampirism issue should be pretty easily handled (it may require the setrace command via console if there's an issue with Dawnguard). There is one other minor downside to all this: IF it works as I plan, the console WILL be needed for the DB questline to advance beyond Gianna's race check. If everything works as I suspect (and hope) it will, this could very well bring about the death of RaceCompatibility. At least for my own races... what other race modders do is their own choice, but I'll never use it again.
Mistle Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 WOW she looks pretty for a race just put together like that, I found all your races to be very attractive and thus the reason I wanted to know more (I am a race whore) pardon my french. I do hope it works for you because I like when modders are able to stream line their work and re-release it to the public (Which I hope you do lol) also I hate you! XD j/k I am trying to learn to mod myself I have always wanted to since Oblivion but idk where to start but anyway you do great work and I am following this thread to see how things work out for you . Side note I was going to DL a few of your races but I might wait till you figure things out first :3.
Trykz Posted April 10, 2013 Author Posted April 10, 2013 I use ADEC+TBBP body and really like the animations associated with it is there a way to add that body and skeleton to a few of your races? Waaaaaay too easy with this new method: I'm really liking how quickly and easily I can refit a single race with multiple body types. Essentially, I can create a race with one body type, then copy out the ESP for that body, and in 5 minutes I can refit the race with my choice of ADEC, CBBE, CHSBHC, or UNPB without adding ANY additional parts I'll test the transformations tomorrow. Getting a bit late here..... Trykz
Mistle Posted April 10, 2013 Posted April 10, 2013 ; ; lol okay I really hate you now XD, I am happy you are able to do things faster and efficiently with the new set up . Perhaps one time if you are feeling up to it you might explain how to go about changing bodies :/, I have done it to a few races that didn't have "Support" I guess but I would lose custom skins to the race it self.. or there is one race I wanted to try that was just plain out driving me effin nuts, I figured out how to remove the under garments just to NOT be able to change the body >.< I would CTD every time I switched lol. Anywho the screenies look great and again I am glad it's coming along . sleep well!
Trykz Posted April 10, 2013 Author Posted April 10, 2013 So here's the icing on the cake: What you are looking at is ONE character save, using my choice of FOUR different body types Basically, I can switch the current body type any time I want by simply swapping out the ESP. Even in the midst of a play-through, because it has no detrimental effect on any existing save file created under this platform. Still lots of testing to do..... Trykz
