This thread has been created for members to give other members ideas of what they can do to pass the time or get the most out of the day when it goes south. Please keep this thread civilized please folks. Also reasonable ideas not stuff like "go mastubating". It can be a book you recommend reading, a game, anything which you think is appropriate.
Guest Posted August 8, 2012 Posted August 8, 2012 The two best flash games to play when bored are Super Smash Flash 2 and Happy wheels. Both are extremely fun and entertaining to play.

Anyways, about a month or two ago, I made the decision that if I say "I'm bored" or anything related to it, I have to do 20 pushups or situps. Just a thought. Aside from that, there's thousands of sites you could dump the rest of your life into. One off-hand is Tvtropes. You could starve to death before reading 1% of the site. Personally, I spend a lot of my downtime watching Starcraft 2 replays as there's plenty of good players and casters to make it worth watching.

YX33A Posted August 20, 2012 Posted August 20, 2012 When I'm bored I either ready creepy pasta and laugh at the fact that some people find this stuff scary, prick around on forums(doubly so for Minecraft forums, I rarely play but am almost always reading the forums), or do things one shouldn't mention in threads like this(like look at weird porn and eat pumpkin pie at the same time). Sometimes I watch silly videos on youtube, or even play video games(really need to beat Oblivion and Morrowind, but there are so many mods to enjoy instead of the main quests). More often then not, I just weave a tale in my head about things on my mind. Most recent one was about WH40K and a long forgotten race messing with the Gray Knights. Moral of that story was that shark people are serious business.

Just pause, breath, relish the time you have and know that if you are feeling bored, it's a luxury that can be taken advantage of in many ways that you're probably not aware of because you try so hard to avoid it.

I'm sitting here about to go grenade because my damn wife made me miss the deal of a century on a phone I've wanted for the past year. I'm so mad I can't work, I can't think, I can't eat...I just want to f'n break something.

When we went our separate ways I wound up at quiznos. Got a nice sandwich and a free totebag from the cashier who was flirting. Walked back to the office thru a local development and spied a housewife hanging out in front of her house smoking a cigarette in daisy dukes and built like... walked reeeeeeal slow for a bit and took in the sights while she smoked smiled and said hi. Didn't approach because I KNEW that would be trouble...like divorce trouble. Appreciated the beautiful sights, waved hi and kept walking...slowly. Felt better after that. Gonna eat this sandwich, trip off of the memories of the walk and continue to let the stress go.

LOL. Though most of you bored here can probably idle into the IRC channel. When lots of bored people are there, there is no way in hell you'll stay quiet

You won't get bored anymore, but probably loses your soul in between it. >;O Or Adopt a kid.
TheoryoftheDead Posted September 5, 2012 Posted September 5, 2012 When I'm bored I either draw or take a stroll through the forest. I highly recommend the strolls, if you're slighly paranoid like me. It can keep you occupied for hours(might be hard if you live in town, but that's your problem not mine).
