SmedleyDButler Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 I've been putting together this UNP (regular old boring UNP, not the fancy variants) mashup for the past few days. It's currently set up to be a replacer for Oaristys' Ciri outfit: http://www.nexusmods.com/skyrim/mods/68950/? but hopefully it will be a standalone if Oaristys gives me permission to do so (all the other assets used have open permissions so long as credit is given). Anyway, I could use some help on some more difficult bits I'm trying to fix. 1) If possible, I'd like the reflective leather texture that the corset has to also appear on the pauldron. I tried adding a specular map to the pauldron (it did not have one previously), but I don't think I did so correctly, and so it's still flat and unreflective. Some help troubleshooting what I need to to fix that would be great. 2) the chest leather was covered by a thin chainmail mesh in the original top. It was unnecessary in this mashup (the chainmail is underneath). The lighting seems a bit odd in that it doesn't seem to have shadows? Not sure what's going on there. Any help would be great, thanks! myuhinny Posted September 10, 2017 Posted September 10, 2017 If you are looking at something that is transparent and when you look through it to a piece of clothing below it and that area a spot on the clothing becomes transparent is because you have 2 transparencies on top of each other you must alter the one on the bottom to prevent that from happening. http://wiki.tesnexus.com/index.php/Creating_an_armour_for_Skyrim._Part_2#Add_transparency I would just load the nif into outfit studios and exported buckle out in .OBJ format and then load it into blender. Click the belt buckle go to object mode at the bottom and change it to exit mode hit P and select separate by loose parts turn object mode back on. Delete the 2 buckles out for the arm if there are bits and pieces keep deleting till they are gone then check the buckle on the waist to see it it has many pieces if it doesn't then export it and load it into outfit studios and scale it to where it needs to be if it has many pieces then just hold the shift key and start selecting pieces and then hold CTRL and hit J to join them repeat till all parts are together then export.
SmedleyDButler Posted September 11, 2017 Author Posted September 11, 2017 Got some very kindly help with the buckle mesh issue! Now I just need to get the two texture problems sorted out - please see above! Post edited with a new working file as well.
